Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Thanks PrismRN, I will remember to make sure how everything must be turned in. First deadline passed, I handed in the assignment (CLC Agreement) and no one stepped up to help put the information into the final power point. I didn't expect different, just sad that it is this way. Are these nurses that just keep their patients alive during their shift or do they go the extra mile to implement the care plans, interventions? Don't answer that....On a side note, I posted a question to the instructor. "Who is the intended target audience for the power point presentation? Is it a nursing student or is the information for the general public about the nurse field?"
Response: " I will be the only one viewing the assignment."
Didn't answer the question, in my opinion.
I am getting a bad feeling about this. Seemed like a valid and reasonable question.
Don't get me started on the cat and mouse non-response game. Never use the individual forum....unless it is about a grade. IMHO.

Okay, sorry, I'm still laughing about this one. Please get used to this, also. Questions to the Instructor are always a cr@pshoot, never seeming to answer the question LOL ex:
Q: "Can you clarify if you'd like the interview questions on a separate document or as an appendix included in the paper itself?"
A: "Yes please"

Amen!
I never let them off the hook. I asked again and pointed out the vague response. Some are very good and very detailed. One instructor actually called me. Others can be like the example. It's a true crapshoot.

This is about the funniest thing I have read in a while! And totally describes what happened. I restated my questions and all of a sudden it was a great question and a opportunity for the instructor to instruct.
Thank you for the smile today.
I have a question if you don't mind! In Professional Dynamics we are to make a flyer of a professional nursing organization. In the rubric it says we don't have to use APA format for the body of the flyer but solid academic writing is expected and in text citations and references should be used. What is she expecting us to cite? The information is found on the organizations website so I guess that will be my only source. It's not possible to put solid academic writing because of the configuration of the flyer unless it is filled mainly with writing and not pictures and pretty stuff! What do any of you remember from the assignment?
Just cite your source (American Nurses Association, etc) and make sure there are no typos. That's the solid academic writing. But since we ride donkeys to skool, I wood say that speling anythin' korrect may be a challenge and all.
updated to read that you were talking about nursing organizations. duh! I kan't read to well.

My first CLC we were instructed to elect a team leader, class two we tried to get things going and the instructor came into the color forum and told us to get a leader, third class a team member would not start without one, last one we never formally "elected" but afterwards everyone one said thank you for leading....I think some depends on your instructor and at other times classmates.
