Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Thanks tokmomI am also very excited. I did take the 3 day course and am glad I did. I am familiar with Word and will review power points. I am a little less proficient with APA and quoting. That is scaring me! Thanks for your encouragement!
Owl Purdue and the APA website will be your friend.
Oh and PEERLA!!
After some good rest, I feel more optimistic. I think I need to realize as you say, there will be ups and downs. Overall, they accommodating my requests, listening to my concerns, being attentive. I do want this. Most probably the whole thing is related to the number of years from graduation to present. Over 30 years... they mostly get more recent graduates I would guess. They many not know what to do with a dinosaur like me!! :)

Sister, I graduated in 1989 with by ADN, so 24 years since I was in school for my ADN. You will not be one of the older ones, believe me. Most of the nurses in the program ARE much older. Many have grandkids. They have put off their degree until they either have been forced to obtain a BSN, or have chosen to pursue a dream now that kids are gone. Yes, some are brand new spanking grads, unable to find a job due to only having an ADN and young.

You mentioned that earlier and then said you seriously thinking of not going through the program.
Please by sure this is what you want to do. You will be committing a lot of time, money and effort into your program. You will have some days you will want to quit, and you can, but you end up with nothing. You gotta be happy with the program, even though you will have some low moments and speed bumps. Those of us that say it was effortless aren't saying we didn't have an occasional pain in the butt, Tums-eating-moment, because we did. However, they weren't any more or less than any other program. We were and are committed to see it through to the end.
