Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
They would like me to start this week. I do not have all of my questions answered but I am told they can explain to instructor, that I did not enter program until say tomorrow. Then, can get Weds assignment in on Thurs...I have another chat planned with them tomorrow. Did anyone start this week?
I have... 5 more classes, I think. I started the MSN bridge program but decided to finish off the BSN first to get the pay raise sooner and open up more options. Looks like I just got a B in Nursing Research (sad face, I really wanted an A and ended up with 89%) which sucks, but that's what I get for taking 2 classes at a time while working FT.
Two classes and working FT, a B is a great grade. Congrats!
I have a mini vacation scheduled for 10/1- 10/5, do you think I would wait to start until after that?
Well, you could, but you may want to take a laptop with you, if you have to work on a paper or something of that nature or respond/submit the DQ. I would take small over night trips, and I worked on my homework in the evening or after everyone went to bed.
I think JRich managed to get an A in both classes when she doubled up, and I had been planning on doing Trends & Leadership at the same time so I could get Capstone over the Christmas break. But, I'm thinking I might be slightly crazy to do that. As I learned in my last class, sometimes your mojo (and subsequent grade) can be heavily influenced by other people, and since it's a cr@pshoot who the instructors will be, who the other students will be, where they fall on the apathy meter, etc., I think I'm not going to do two at the same time. That will make me done at the end of March instead of the end of January, but it may be worth it. If I had double the stress I just endured in this last class, my husband would surely kick me to the curb! I'd be that gal sitting on the roadside with my cardboard sign: "Homeless BSN student, will cook/clean for wireless access"
Apathy meter? You crack me up! There isn't much difference between the end of January VS the end of March in the scheme of things. It's still sooner than you originally thought, right?

Speaking of mojo, I've totally lost mine and have absolutely no motivation for my community health class. And to tell you the truth, so far the class has been pretty easy. Week one was only DQ's. Week 2 had an additional paper that was not that difficult. Week 3 is the addition of doing my part of the CLC, which I'm struggling with becasue of lack of motivation. Week 4 and 5 will be the addition of the 3 parts for the teaching project. And I can't seem to muster any motivation to work ahead. I'm not getting much of a spark to do anything more than mediocre work, even under the looming deadlines I cause myself
A big part of my issue is that I am a fresh ADN grad, and have been going to school nonstop for 5 years now. I am burnt out on school!
Anyway, planning ahead, any recommendations on an awesome instructor for nursing research??? Please PM me.
