Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I have made it clear, if I can not move on to a more mature counselor.. I am out of the program.. just waiting for the response.

I am an older adult learner.. much life experience. Aghast at the conversation I had. Nor do I have transcripts in my pocket? I requested them 3 weeks ago? She never sent them in so I did, and paid the cost. Great GCU service.

The only thing I can think of is most of you have the new 2 year RN... I am a 3 year Diploma RN.. which at the time was considered better! But. I fear.. GCU does not acknowledge 3 year diploma RN's... we are older women.. yet,we also have much experience. Credits are not clearly defined.. they don't know what to do with us!! IDK I just feel very sad and find all of your smooth experiences great.. that is not what is happening.

GCU did not pay for my transcripts to be sent. I had to pay a release fee at 3 different schools and I was responsible for getting the ball rolling, signing papers, etc..

They will acknowledge your three year RN.

Not sure of the convo you had with your advisor, but you can always change. It's not a problem.

I actually just found out my official transcripts were accepted and I only need the 12 core classes!! Everything is finalized and I start on Monday. I am so anxious to get started!

I'm so excited for you!! Make sure you have Word and power point down and take the demo class, so you are familiar with LoudCloud. Welcome fellow Lope!!

I just found out I am making progress... there still is hope!!

of course there is hope! It WILL happen. I started my paperwork etc.. in January and I started in February. I was prompt with the paperwork, but there still was a turnaround time. I wasn't going to start anyway until all my ducks were in a row.

I got a very positive message this evening. My current counselor will take care of the immediate needs.

Beyond that, I am able to change to the counselor of my choice!

I am also very excited. I did take the 3 day course and am glad I did. I am familiar with Word and will review power points. I am a little less proficient with APA and quoting. That is scaring me! Thanks for your encouragement!
