I don't start my program till January, so I won't graduate till August 2015, but I've already thought about the same thing! People at my school do it every year. They'll write "BSN" or "future nurse" or "nursing". You worked this hard so you deserve to show it off! Congrats & good luck!
I don't start either until January and will graduate in December 2015. However, I will be putting "This is for you grandma" or something short for grandma (she passed away a year ago with leukemia.) With of course a stethoscope and other little stickers. :)

Both my parents passed away in 2001 & 2007 so that'd be a great idea to mention them. Sorry to steal your idea...my mom was my inspiration did wanting to be a nurse in the first place. I'm sorry for your loss & she would definitely be very proud of you!

If I didn't want anyone to "steal" the idea I wouldn't have posted it :). I, too am sorry for your loss. On my binders I will be putting pictures of her so when it gets tough I will instantly be reminded why I did it to began with. Good luck to you!! We will be starting the journey together.
I have attended graduation at Harvard a couple of times. It's a fun day, and all the grads from the different graduate programs do different things. The law school grads often put inflatable sharks on their mortarboards. The dental school does chattery teeth or toothbrushes. Public health has been known to use condoms. They all sit together in the Yard so it's fun to see the mass effect. Solidarity is good.

Anyone else thinking about decorating the top of their graduation cap for graduation if your school allows you to? I heard some people talking about it and then I looked on pinterest. There are some awesome ideas out there and I am excited. I just ordered some scrapbooking stickers and rhinestones to put on my cap for graduation.
Here's an example of what I am talking about: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/207658232790535805/
I am not going to put "call me nurse X" because I am not a nurse though. I think I may put down "nursing" and 2013 along with the scrapbooking stickers that I bought. Plus if I have an official job offer before then, I will put down the department too. I plan on doing an outline in pink stones or maybe I'll scatter them throughout to add some contrast.
