Hey metoyou I called the nursing office today and the admissions specialist said that the lowest TEAS score they took last year was. 65%.

She is really nice and patient when ppl call and ask general questions like that.

Thanks for the information:)

Hello everyone, I am new member of allnurses.com. But I was reading all the posts posted here. I did gave TEAS V test on june 23rd. I got 61.3%(proficient). I wish if I could got more than that. My overall GPA : 3.86 and science GPA : 4.0 . And the very exciting thing is I got e-mail from ]Kris Moore, Nursing Admissions Specialist, stating that We are considering your application for the Spring, 2012 semester. And] you must successfully complete BIOL 1913 and BIOL 1913L before starting the program. You must have no more than 6 credit hours of the nursing general education courses remaining when you start the spring nursing program. I am very happy. So don't be panic my friends, be patience. If you have high GPA you will be fine. I hope this will help.

Hey futurewillbeanurse and welcome!

I got that same email as well yesterday from Renee Creel. I personally am not reading to far into that becasue I think they send that letter/email to anyone that mets the minumum requirments.

I wonder did they send out a letter like that last year? and wonder where there people that got that same email/letter that didnt get in?

I know they are done testing for the Spring 2012 program, I hope we find out by Auguest at least.

In an email this morning I was told that the committee meeting has not yet been scheduled. She did say that it would be late July or early August. I guess this means we'll hear something, at the earliest, in early August or, at the latest, mid to late August.

It's frustrating because I still have 3 pre-reqs for Mercer but certainly don't want to waste the money if I'm accepted at GPC. I'm so freaking tired of this pre-req/application deadline game. I just want to be in a program and done with this scheduling nightmare.

Yeah there were a TON of us that day. I guess it makes sense since all you needed to be invited to sit for the TEAS was a B in one of your bio pre-reqs. But even still I was surprised. My friend took it at GPC a few weeks prior and said there were only about 25 people.

Oh really? Did you see how my people took it last Thurdsay?

Beth I'm pretty much in the same boat as you...I applied to 2 schools but my first choice is GPC bc its closer. The other school I applied to starts in October of this year! Talk about cutting it close. I still have A+P II to take but if I take it here at GPC I'm scared that the other school will think that I'm not currently enrolled in it. I will know by the end of August if I got accepted to other school or but GPC I will not find out until September think?

So yeah, I'm over the schduling nightmare to.....

So you're currently in A&P II or you're taking it in the Fall?

The whole process is insane. I have a previous bachelors and masters degree and HONESTLY thought that nursing was like other majors: you declare it and, therefore, you're a nursing major. I wasn't prepared for writing essays and gathering letters of recommendation, or missing a deadline and having to wait another 6 months. I'm on a tight schedule here, at 33, and we're not going to try for baby number 2 until I'm gainfully employed. I may be in menopause by then lol.

Ugghh. I told myself I wouldn't think about it, but I've been checking the forum and my email every day like something's gonna magically appear. I hate this waiting!!
