Here is a place that we could start discussing the next part of our journey in nursing school.
Has anyone read the book they suggested in our acceptance letters? I bought it off amazon and I am excited to read it!!!

I ordered the uniforms already. I tried them on as soon as I got them and everything fit except the scrub top. The chest and arm area was way too tight, couldn't even lift my arms up all the way. So I am sending those back for a size up. I ordered a medium in everything and I am normally wear a size 10/12. The only other thing were the pants were a little long.
How tall are you? I think I read on their site that a "regular" is 30" so I was going to get a "long" which is 32"...does that seem right based on your pants?
That is good to know about the chest and arm area being tight that is where I normally have problems so I will probably order up!

I am 5'3 so I am used to things being a little long. I will have to roll the waist to keep from walking on them. I am hopeful that ordering a size up fixes the problem without being baggy everywhere else.

What "suggested" books are people getting? I was able to find most of them used for pretty cheap on either chegg or amazon, but the Psychiatric book the cheapest I could find was $50 used...it was highlighted on the list so I didn't know if that meant it was strongly recommended? I don't want to buy it if we don't really need it!
For those of you who haven't bought books yet I suggest Chegg and Amazon...I got my Fundamentals book on Amazon for $25...it is used but its in great shape! And most of the suggested reading books are on one or the other for around $5 a piece.
I was thinking about doing that too but the versions I found were expensive! You would think they would be cheap since there is no paper:) Let me know if you find them cheap!
I am thinking about getting the online versions of the books. What do you guys think about that? I think it would be nice to have my books pretty much anywhere I go. Without hauling them....would love good and bad feedback on this.....
I wanted to share what happened to me regarding my tithers. I went for my results and it showed that I was NOT immune to Hep B even though I had the 3 series of shots in 2011. That was a bummer!!! I was soooo disappointed. I wasn't sure how that could happen. So now I have to take the whole series again. The cheapest I could find was at the Student Health Center for $40. So I'm having to pay an extra $120 for shots again.

Thank you for sharing! I will be getting a physical on Monday so we shall see what happens! Luckily I have health insurance so it shouldn't be too bad.... I hope! That 130 I wasn't expecting ?
I have only bought the two required books on amazon. I choose to by the fundamentals book new so that I could be sure to get the online access code since used books often don't have them. The other I got used for a good price. :-)
I have not gone for my physical yet, but I got my vaccine records from the health department. According to that I will probably need several boosters because it doesn't look like my parents finished any of the vaccination series. :-(
Does anyone know if we skip any semesters or if it is 4 semesters straight through???
You can apply to the accelerated program which merges with the bridge during the summer. So instead of 4 semesters it would be 3. But it you got picked it would mean taking OB, PEDS and Psych all during the summer-which is a beast.
