So long story short, I am a current 4th semester nursing student and we started applying for jobs...I just got my first rejection because my GPA was a 2.9 instead of a 3.0...
My question is:
After I finish this mini course I am in (Adult 3), my GPA would go to a 2.98.
Is it acceptable to put 3.0 GPA on further applications since I'm 0.02 points away from it?
(AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER MY GPA WILL BE A 3.07)
I really don't want to wait till next summer to apply to nurse residency programs.
Unless they're asking you to guess what your future GPA might be, I'd say that's a bad idea.

Ok, I have to ask, did they actually tell you that you didn't get the job because of a 2.98 or are you assuming? Many specific internships require a certain GPA for students because they don't want work to interfere with school. That isn't even close to the same thing as applying after you graduate and pass NCLEX.
Why are you including your GPA? Honestly, no one cares. If you pass your NCLEX, then you are able to work as a nurse.
This completely depends on the area you are applying to work in. Employers in highly competitive areas (CA, NY, etc.) WILL ask for your GPA and many even go over your transcripts to see where your weaknesses were in school. Yes if you pass your NCLEX you can work as a nurse somewhere, but in order to get a job of your choice GPA should be above a 3.0 at minimum.
