I got an interview at a subacute care center and it went well. A few days later got a call offering me the position i wanted. I went and signed some papers, did my drug and alcohol test. When i left they were going to do the background check and call some job references i had. She told me she was going to call me that same day to tell me when i was going to start training, she didnt know if she had to wait till the results of the drug and alcohol test were available. Its been two days and i havent heard anything from them... Should i call or should i wait?? And if i call, what should i say?? Thank you... Im a new nurse and i dont know what to do .. :/

It wouldn't hurt to call and check in when you're starting is fine.

Be prompt, professional, and passionate :)

So i spoke with the lady and she told me to be monday at 7 am in the facility and to go to southwest nursing station and there they would tell me whos going to train me. I feel so lost, i thought i was going to have an orientation, thats what i was told in the interview. So i just go into the nurse station and say " im new, whos going to train me ?"

If that is what you were told than that is what you do.
