I can't believe it. What a blessing, got my dream job as a new grad in a hospital, as an OB Nurse, less than a month after taking my boards... Can't wait to start my new journey! Good luck to all you other new grads looking for jobs. Stay positive it can happen , in a hospital, and with only and ASN!

I wonder what was your GPA like when you graduated? I have an average B right now and I am worried!

Why are you worried? Employers don't care about your grades... At least not hospitals! They want you to pass nclex!

But GPA upon graduating was a B 3.3

I was thinking everyone who was a RN would already pass the NCLEX, so what would they consider the most if they don't look at your grades?

Experience. Critical thinking skills. Professionalism. References from clinical instructors.

"MOST" is all relative to whoever is offering the position. for example, if your hospital emphasizes the "CARE" in patient care... you can fabricate a story about your wealthy parents leaving you a large sum of money and you do not necessarily need a job but pursued nursing because you wanted to help people or some BS like that... i knew somebody that used that and was hired.
