I'm sooo excited. I can't wait... My first day is January 6th... I was just wondering if any of you guys have any advice for me. I'm open to all kinds of advice and am willing to listen. Tell me anything you have found that has helped you while you have been in nursing school...

Congratulations on your acceptance!! Any idea on what branch of nursing you are interested in? Only advice is to learn all you can and try not to procrastinate.

Congrats! My advice is not to skip any classes, and don't base future professor's exams on the first one or two. For instance, their first exam may come all from the notes, but the second one could pull more from the reading. So keep up on your reading, too! You will most likely be freaking out after the first week or two--but the profs like to scare you a bit, and don't worry, you'll all be in it together. Even though it can be a lot of work, it will all get done.
Take at least one day/night off a week and don't think about school that day. Mental health is just as important as good grades.

Definitely keep up with your readings and take good notes. I taped all the lectures, they came in handy for me because I don't take real good notes. Each day when you get home--go over all your notes and if you don't understand anything, look it up or call a study buddy. Good luck to you.

Congrats!!! :balloons:
Keep up on your readings. There is way too much assigned reading to slack off and you'll fall behind very quickly.
Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for the great advice... I can't wait. I am so excited. ceska2 I'm not sure what branch I want to go into right now. All I want is just to get my RN. I figured I'd have plenty of time to make my mind up about the branch... But thanks everyone for the congrats and the advice. I really appreciate it..
