  2. St. Mary's University of Minnesota. I start May of 2008.
  3. Good luck with the interview badgernurse. I will be starting St Mary's in May of 2008 (I am one of the rolled over people on the waiting list). Maybe I will be seeing you next year. Ceska2
  4. I got my letter today. I am also on the waiting list...spot number 8. Are you going to apply anywhere else? Good luck on getting in for this year, See you in 2008 (unless I get real lucky and get in earlier).
  5. Congratulations on getting the #2 waiting list spot. I would think that you have a good shot at getting in for next year. I am still waiting for my letter...I still have not gotten it. I dont know if that is good or bad. Congrats again!! Ceska2
  6. Dont worry too much about having to draw ABG's. After you have done a couple you will find that they really arent any harder than starting an IV. If you miss you can always get another RN or let a RT have a try.
  7. Any sort of bodily trauma results in glucose release. Coming off pump is hard on kidneys and pancreas especially. Temporary decrease in pancreatic insulin production causing higher blood sugars. Having diabetes will obviously result in a higher sugar.
  8. I also got an interview....hoping to on the 22nd of this month. Are you local or do you have to travel to the interview like me?
  9. Im not sure exactly when I would be going to Lackland...I graduate in August and will probably take my boards in September or October. I dont know if they will send me in November or wait until after the holidays. Good luck with anesthesia school, I bet you are excited.
  10. Hello, I am really considering joining the Air Force to do critical care nursing and then hopefully anesthesia. Does anyone know how hard it is to get into anesthesia school through the air force? Easier or harder? The air force seems like a good deal and I am looking forward to joining. Thanks!! Oh yeah, its looking like I will be stationed at Lackland.
