Hi All!

Does anyone know worthy/affordable MSN/MBA online programs which are based at well-known Universities. I know about U.of Phoenix, and Kaplan U. But they are known for online only degrees. I'm not even sure I want the MSN,but I need it to do the NP certificate (post MSN).

Any ideas/advises are greatly appreciated.

Hi there..Jacksonville University has a dual MSN/MBA program. JU also has a physical campus. I believe that U of Phoenix does too. I was thinking seriously about pursuing a RN-BSN then to the MSN/MBA but I decided to go elsewhere and work on my NP. JU is VERY pricey though. I believe the online courses are in the range of at least $300/credit hour.

Specializes in Trauma, Teaching.

I'm in the MSN program on line through University of New Mexico. They do midwifery, education, NP, etc. The folks in the NP track get that as a masters, not separately.

Try http://www.UNM.edu, follow the links for the HSC or CON.

Good luck!

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

University of Phoenix offers an on-line MSN/MBA dual degree. I did the MSN online with UofP and am now pursing a post-masters certificate as a clinical nurse specialist.

St. Louis University has many online MSN and post-MsN programs. They are also a bricks and mortar school. http://www.nursing.slu.edu

University of Phoenix also has campuses all over. I got my MBA the old fashioned way, via classroom one day per week. They have programs that are almost all on-line, classroom only, or a combination of the two.

$300/credit hour is about average for graduate school tuition.

University of Texas at Tyler has a good program of which I am familiar. Probably at other UT locations as well.

The MSNMBS program at UOP rep. told me you don't have to be an RN to enter the program. Upon graduation can you sit for the RN Nclex? I am so confused. I have a BA in another field and will be finishing LPN school his year. I want a MSN degree and was inquiring to the best way online. HELP??

Specializes in oncology, clinical trials, home health.

I think you need to clarify that. I have a Bachelor of Science in another field other than nursing. I was able to enter the RN MSN bridge program at UOP, the criteria then was that I had to be an RN. As far as I know, You cannot take the RN NCLEX exam unless you have graduated from an accredited school for registered nursing.

Specializes in IMC, ICU, cath lab, admin..

A friend of mine is attending University online for an acute care nurse practitioner. If you look around, many standard universities are moving to the online format to make it easier for the working adult to go back to school. University of MD has an online program as well.

Specializes in a variety.
