Golden West College (GWC) ADN Fall 2023

Hey!  It might be a little early to start this, given that applications aren't open yet, but I noticed that the multi-criteria points system was updated in September 2022.  I thought I remembered being in better shape when I looked at the old points system in past semesters ? so I was curious to hear from anyone else who is planning to apply and see where we all stand.  

I haven't taken the TEAS yet, but not including my TEAS score I have 56 points so far, and I'll have a max of 81 depending on my score.

Congrats!! I wish I could apply to SAC but I took physiology in Summer 2022 at GWC. It was the last online semester for GWC, but SAC only allows online up to Spring 2022. So annoying

Thank you!! They definitely would've taken you too although this year was a bit more competitive. What!! That's super annoying. But I guarantee we will get into GWC. I spoke to a counselor last month and she told me high 60s is a definite acceptance. It's just a matter of which semester they start us in ? praying for Fall!

What a relief!!! I hope she's right. I cannot relax until I get this email ? Hoping for fall acceptance, but honestly, I'm good either way. If it's a Spring acceptance, we could always take some extra classes in the fall. I haven't done sociology yet so I need to get that out of the way for the BSN.

Don't stress! I would not say that if it wasn't true. But yes we just need the email for validation now hahah. That's true! But since I have Santa Ana I would just go there if GWC takes me later for Spring 2024. And ahhh that's smart!! I already have sociology done so I don't know what I would do waiting around for another year so. I hope we can start fall 2023 together!

How many points did you have with SAC application? I am thinking about applying for Spring if I don't get into GWC especially since it's closer to my house. I was worried about the online class thing, but now I don't see anything about that on their site. It's only saying no pass/fail beyond Spring 2022 but doesn't say anything about online labs for 2022.

Hi friends, I applied with 71 points. Fingers crossed, this whole month has been filled with anxiety. I talked to a counselor earlier today who said that she had a student already receive the acceptance email today (5/23). She also said that she's pretty sure that student ain't the only one who got the acceptance today. Has anyone else received theirs or even a denial letter?

Hello. I checked both my personal and school email and have received nada.

Nothing yet for me. I had either 68 or 70 points.

Hey Guys! 
Yesterday, I got accepted into the nursing GWC-CSUSB fall cohort! I applied with 78 points I believe. Most of the points being a score of 81 on TEAS 7 and CNA work experience at a hospital. 
Hope to see most of you guys there this fall!

Congrats ! I received the acceptance letter for GWC-CSUSB too. 

Have you replied back to them ? I sent the acceptance email along with admission contract, but they didn't confirm if they received my email or not.

Haha yes I actually sent them 2 acceptance emails for safe measure. They didn't email me back either and I didn't get one of those automatic replies. I'm sure it's fine!
