Hey guys,

I didn't see a topic for this yet so I thought I'd make one. Is anyone else applying for GWC for Fall 2017? If so, what are your point totals?

The way I've calculated mine it's coming up to 71 points. Hopefully it'll be enough!

I know that we're supposed to check on the nursing website early April for updates :)

No, they will just update us on when the letters will be sent out and things like that

Hey all! I originally do not go to GWC, but I go to Los Angeles Harbor College. I applied to GWC and got alternate. I took psych, English, and comm which was 6 points. I took anatomy, physiology, and micro, and passed with a 4.0 (35 points). I had a TEAS VI score of 75% (15 points). For work experience, I think they gave me 10 points, but I did not have 200 hours for volunteering, so no points for volunteering. I am also not sure if I got 2 points for my Spanish classes, so the highest points they could have given me was 68. Otherwise, the lowest could have been 56 points.

I broke this up so that you guys or other people applying later on can see that they should not give up and to always put in an application because you never know :)! I really hope you all got in.

Did you guys apply anywhere else? I did Los Angeles Harbor College, Cerritos College, Golden West College, and Santa Ana College. :)

Hi, when the letter stating you are on alternate pool, does that mean you are on alternates list? Because on the letter stating of admittance decline their spot then they will contact alternate numbers and then alternate pool. So if they stating in the letter I'm a alternate pool does that mean I'm alternate or just once they picked alternates and if alternates declined then it is alternate pool afterward?

What did the envelope look like? I am on the lookout constantly! I live in northern California so I am hoping my letter gets here quickly, I can barely stand it!

I just got my conditional acceptance in the mail! What a day to receive it though, lol.

The envelope has their logo on it. I live in socal and received mine today too
