Golden West College Fall 2017

Hey guys,

I didn't see a topic for this yet so I thought I'd make one. Is anyone else applying for GWC for Fall 2017? If so, what are your point totals?

The way I've calculated mine it's coming up to 71 points. Hopefully it'll be enough!

Ah, okay. I haven't either. I wanted all of my clinical requirements to clear before I purchased all of the other stuff and they just cleared today so I'm gonna start buying all of those things soon.

I would double check...or maybe borrow money if you can. I have a friend who went to another nursing program in the area and she didn't have her name tag by orientation so they threatened to give her spot to someone else. It's better not to risk it I think.

Yeah same. I still need to get the 2nd TB shot, my physical and the insurance, but everything else I already posted to complio and has been approved.

Hey Monsie86! Do you know how many points GWC gave you for your 900+ hours as a Health Scholar? (5 vs. 10). I have 500+ as a COPE Health Scholar and don't know if they'll give me 5 volunteer points or 10 work points. Thanks!

I'm #10 on the waiting list. I'm anxiously waiting for the e-mail as well. We gotta stay positive and have faith. I know that many alternates were notified days before the orientation which is early August, many people are holding on to their spot as back up, in case something goes wrong with other school they'd rather go to.

If anyone is in the alternate list comment below so we have an idea where they are in the process.
