Golden West College Fall 2017
Ah, okay. I haven't either. I wanted all of my clinical requirements to clear before I purchased all of the other stuff and they just cleared today so I'm gonna start buying all of those things soon. I would double check...or maybe borrow money if you can. I have a friend who went to another nursing program in the area and she didn't have her name tag by orientation so they threatened to give her spot to someone else. It's better not to risk it I think.

Golden West College Fall 2017
We all get ranked based on our scores. From that list a certain number (size of the cohort) with the highest points are given acceptance letters which we must either accept or decline. If 10 people decline, they will choose the next 10 people on the rankings (alternate) list. Some people probably have the same scores, but it's all based on your rank

Fall 2017 Saddleback ADN
I did take the TEAS and scored well enough for the highest points. I've totalled my points though and I'm coming up at 69 maximum. I don't know how that will measure up. I'm keeping my hopes up! Where did you take your classes if you don't mind me asking?

Re-applying after dropping a different program
That's more or less what I expected. Thank you for the quick reply. I believe because it was so early in the semester, they might show up as W's. I would need to double check. I've emailed a few of the schools and all I get is a link to their website. Something tells me they didn't even read what I wrote as I specifically said I'd visited the website but there was no information that clearly answered my question. I guess we'll see, I might have to go in person

Re-applying after dropping a different program
So... this is kind of an unusual situation and I haven't been able to get a clear answer, so I'm hoping somebody knows something regarding my situation. Basically, I attended a California CC nursing program for about 3 weeks in Spring 2013 and had to drop out unexpectedly for financial reasons. I'm ashamed to admit this but basically it was kind of a no-call, no- show situation. Trust me, I realize how irresponsible it was of me to do things this way and I regret that decisions every day. Now, 4 years later, I am much more financially stable and am trying to apply for Fall 2017 programs and noticed that all of the applications ask if you've attended a Nursing program in the past. Obviously I have to answer yes. Will this disqualify me in some way? I went to an information session for one of the schools and didn't get a clear answer. He just asked if I had attended clinicals (which I hadn't) and then kind of left it open-ended as to whether or not I could still be admitted. Has anyone been in a similar situation or know someone who has? I've been saving money and preparing for a long time now and I don't want my chances to be based on a stupid decision I made 4 years ago.

Fall 2017 Saddleback ADN
Hi, I am applying at LAHC and GWC. I hadn't considered Saddleback because of the distance, but I was browsing through the website and might add that to my list of applications. I don't know my points as of right now, but I'll total them later and post. So glad to see someone started a thread. I've been browsing for threads for other schools and nothing seems to be up yet. I feel like I'm so behind on this whole process.
