Gloucester County College Students Sound Off!

Hi folks!

I'm about to enter Nursing 1 at GCC and I thought this would be a pretty opportunity to set up a place to vent and get advise. I'm both excited and nervous about this fall. Maybe it's because every chance the faculty speaks to us, they make it seem we should consider forgetting everything in our lives and just prepare for the most difficult task ever undertaken by man. Not that I think it's not going to be difficult, but common! Anybody else have any thoughts?

Ohh.. and bye the way, Congrats on getting in and God help us!

i still haven't received anything in the mail.. it's getting me annoyed... i am going for my cpr certification tonight

Save your money on careplan books. You can access careplans online

no..=[ i'm still waiting to find out. but they called yesterday and said they didn't have the results of my urinanalysis i thought the results would go straight to gcc?

So what did everyone think of yesterday's orientation?

Did the faculty tell you to look around the room because half of you will fail/drop out/or be kicked out by the time the program is over with?

Haha. No, not that I remember.

They must have realized it's not the most positive statement to make before a group of people that are about to begin the most difficult program on campus.

I was hoping for more new information. It was basically just a review of what they already told us in the welcome packet. But I guess that just means that they were pretty thorough in the welcome packet. I was surprised by how much they are in Lippincott's pocket. These book publishers must have better salespeople (or incentives) than even pharmaceutical reps with the way they were schilling. Oh and the fact that the school is "going green" by not printing our papers but that we are expected to print everything was pretty funny.

Ha! No, they didn't. That would have livened it up a bit though! That's not really true, is it?
