  1. Oh my goodness, that's horrible!
  2. I have same TA and my paper is being shredded. I'm debating dropping the class as I am investing way too much time and energy into a project that is borderline failing. I don't see the situation improving. I'm curious to hear what her response is to you to see if it is even worth emailing her to fight for points.
  3. Me! I'll be the one that's half asleep with a petrified look on her face;-) What day is your clinical?
  4. You're not a dork. It took me forever to pick a color. I made the poor woman at Best Uniform stand there for ten minutes trying to ring me up while I kept changing my mind. It was pathetic:-) Thanks for the link. Those look great.
  5. I went with the two binders. I just did one for lecture and one for lab. Then I printed everything out from the CD, 3 hole punched it and put it in the right binder. In the lecture binder I used a ton of tab dividers and printed the outline for each class, the assignments for the classes that we know and then a few extra sheet for notes after each outline.
  6. I'm starting to get a little nervous too but probably more excited than anything. I finished the reading and have been working on dosage calc but still have to complete the lab assignment. I figure I have time since I won't actually have lab for two more weeks but I'll get it done before school starts. Did you finish everything? I wound up getting a blue stethoscope. It's pretty basic but cute:-) Oh, this may be a stupid question but how do you put your name on them? Everyone keeps saying to make sure our names are on them but how and where?
  7. Hmm, I think I missed this the first time I read through this thread. Should I expect to be on site for a while doing careplans (or anything)after clinical is over? I'm just wondering so I can plan better. Thanks.
  8. I just noticed that our professors have been assigned! I thought I would mention it in case anyone else was anxious to see who they had:-)
  9. Ha! No, they didn't. That would have livened it up a bit though! That's not really true, is it?
  10. I was hoping for more new information. It was basically just a review of what they already told us in the welcome packet. But I guess that just means that they were pretty thorough in the welcome packet. I was surprised by how much they are in Lippincott's pocket. These book publishers must have better salespeople (or incentives) than even pharmaceutical reps with the way they were schilling. Oh and the fact that the school is "going green" by not printing our papers but that we are expected to print everything was pretty funny.
  11. I haven't decided yet. I wasn't really planning to but I'm starting to think that I should. Of course I just got a new phone so that complicates it a bit. Maybe I'll just get an old Palm or something. I wonder if I can update the software on those by connecting to my pc. Anyone know? I'm kind of clueless about this stuff.
  12. In case anyone is still trying to get the DVD's separately, this is the set. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0781768136/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller= The bookstore had an open package so I was able to get the ISBN number. (9780781768139)
  13. Is this the DVD by any chance? http://product.half.ebay.com/Taylors-Interactive-Nursing-Skills_W0QQtgZinfoQQprZ59771978 I really hope this is something that can be purchased separately as I already got my text (sixth edition, BTW) for a 1/4 of what the bookstore wanted.
  14. Hi DIC, Thanks so much, I've been reading your feedback for a while and have appreciated it. When you say "Easier" is that meant in a " you aren't going to learn as much" way or a " your life will be a bit easier" way? lol. Thanks again. My sitter situation changes after the first semester so if i is really to my disadvantage to have weekend clinicals then I would love to hear about it now so I can better plan. Thanks again for the feedback and help.
  15. I'm in a similar situation in that my kids are young but I'm taking A&P2 (starting tomorrow!) and I'll have to take micro next summer. Other than that it's all nursing classes. My clinical is on Saturday. At first it seemed like a good idea because it was one less day to have to get a sitter but now I'm wondering if Saturday clinicals will be as good. Anyone have any feedback on that? Caityliz, please feel free to PM me as I would love to get to know some one before class.
