Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. That's a good question and one I'm looking forward to an answer to. Skeletor, what are your days off/open days from August 21-28 or so? Are there any days better than others for anyone else?

Hey everyone!

I haven't been on here in so long, summer time is always crazy busy for me lol.This summer really flew by I cant believe orientation is a week from today!How is everyone doing with everything?Did anyone finish the reading and dosage calculation assignments yet? I wanted to ask a question about the CPR card, what are we supposed to put that in?It says on the paper to insert it into a number 10 window or regular envelope but I wasn't sure.Also does anyone know if there Is there anything else we should bring with us to orientation besides the things they listed?

I would def like to meet up with everyone again, Just let me know what day:).

Yes it was in the packet with the list of books and uniform information. The next page after that information was a few math problems and instructions on which days we were to report for a mandatory 3 day orientation (aug. 23,24,25) and it had a separate welcome letter we were also instructed to bring. If you didn't get that I would get up to the school asap and get a copy. Good luck!

About the welcome letter...I saw it referenced in the packet. All I have so far as a welcome letter goes is what looks like a cover sheet for the packet with a graphic and lettering centered under the graphic that reads 'welcome to...' I'm writing from memory because I'm not at home. It isn't what I'd call a 'letter', but it's the only thing I have with 'welcome' on it. Is this what you all have?

I was thinking it was that too, it really isn't a letter though.Just in case I was going to bring my acceptance letter.There really not specific with anything!

Ah orientation is tomorrow!It really flew by!I'm sure well probably need to bring a notebook and stuff, but is anyone bringing the fundamentals book?I wonder if we will need that.Well I guess I'll be seeing everyone tomorrow:)!

I was going to bring a notebook and whatever also. No textbooks!

Are we going to look for each other to sit together if possible? I need to sit in the front, lol, or I won't hear.
