Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

That's what my card looks like exactly...I don't recall there being any boxes to check on the back but I'll have to look again to be sure.

I think my teacher is certifying me in Red Cross Professional, not sure yet. Hopefully they look similar. It's a 2 year certification w/AED, infant, child, cpr, adult, ect.

My two cents . . .don't take the course for healthcare professionals just yet. wait until after u r employed and take it for free! If you need spanish for your B.S then I suggest you take the normal spanish class!

I was reffering to the "Spanish Course" for healthcare Professionals not the BLS!

I'm going to send this out individually via PM and/or email depending on each person's capability to msg here right now, but....

Shall we get together one late afternoon or evening May 16-22? We could do the next week instead if that is better. If we did it on a weekend night, it could be a late night. I am hoping to work around family time or other obligations. I'd love for all of us to meet and get to know one another face-to-face so even if you can't stay very long, please come! I'm going to have it here at home in Pitman. It's very easy to find.

I know at least one (if not more) of you live a longer distance away. Are you going to be in the area any time that week, or can you be?

Do any of you have friends who have gotten into the program but aren't on here? If so, please let them know about getting together, even if you can't make it!

I'll have munchies. Let me know if you want to be healthy or junky, lol.

Also, is anyone interested in being part of an online study group?

I live right around pitman. Sewell/Mantua is my hometown. So, pitman is not far from me at all. I might sound like a party pooper.... but I prefer healthy snacks lol.

Also, I'm interested in an online study group as well. I'm down for anything! :D This sounds like so much fun!

I actually am not available until June. I know that doesn't work for everyone. I live in the Pitman "area" as well. Small world. Keep me informed if you guys have a get together in the summer. Thanks!!! :cool:
