Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Published

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

I'm glad you could catch it before your order went through!

me too! you saved me! Thanks :D

It is so cool to see how exited you guys are about nursing !! I feel very lucky and happy to know I will be working with a group of girls that KNOW they really want to do this...

My appointment is on the 26th in the afternoon - maybe if I cry? lol. I agree with Glad, it's nice to be somewhere I can be free to be excited about school and let my nerd free instead of acting "cool."

Same here! :)

Heck, everyone who knows me knows I'm a nerd, lol. One high school classmate wrote this about nursing school on my wall "Let me know how excited you are after your first test!" after I posted that I was so excited that our textbooks were posted and called myself a nerd. Another classmates response to her was "Diane, knowing Cindy, she'll love taking the tests!" Ah, yeah, that was my rep from about 35 years ago following me around......lolol!

I am very happy to have a group of classmates that I can be excited about being a nerd with!

Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate! :balloons:

Happy Easter! :redbeathe

Hey guys, as you know my doc appt is tomorrow. I assume I will be getting blood work (it's been more than 6 months), some vaccinations, physical, and ppd. Do I need to fast before the blood work?

Also, did anyone have their physical yet? What should I expect? In detail please. :)

I don't remember seeing anything on the form that will require fasting. Fasting glucose and maybe some liver levels is all I could imagine them wanting that would require fasting. I won't have my physical until some time in May.

Oh ok..... I have my appt at 9:30am.... and they want blood work done if it's been later than 6 months.... so I will not eat anything before just to be safe.

I fasted ...they did all my labwork right after my chek up but I had to go back forthe first of three hep vac..n tetorifice I got done. I wa s sore for a week but pain goes away ;) n Happy Easter to everyone ;)
