Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

I'm relieved I finally have all my health stuff done. Thanks a lot for the heads up about the books - I think I'm gonna order some soon and buy some more the day of my appointment.

Thanks too for the videos! As soon as the school year ends I am going to look at them. Anything I can read/watch to make me more prepared is awesome.

Im getting worried about registering - I hope the wishes of the people on this thread are not representative of the rest of the class or I have no hope for the tue/thur class. :::Fingers crossed:::

SJerseyGrle, if your appointment is on the 26th in the morning, you should be fine. There are a lot of T/Th openings, so don't worry. Some are TBA but still available..... I'm so excited!

I'm a little confused about the Saunders Student Nurse Planner that the school has on the list. Amazon is telling me there's a newer 2011-2012 version. Should we be getting the older version that is on the list? Won't the calendar be a year off?

I think we'd need the newer version. That's one of the books I'm waiting to get!

Dannipoint, are you doing your Mantoux on Monday?

momtofore, I'm not really sure. My doc appt is at 9:30 on Monday..... so if I can get my PPD done at the doc I will..... I think I might be too late to get the free one through GCC.

Oh darn.... I got the red one...... I didn't even look to see the year on it...... maybe I can change it....

Oh it actually looks like the new edition of the student nurses planner is available for preorder. It comes out May 13th. That is probably why the gcc website was unable to provide the picture. But, I am sure we need the 2011-2012 planner. :)
