Congrats!!!! That is fantastic! What a huge accomplishment. :) Did you do the traditional program, hybrid (while it still existed) or weekend?
I'm currently in the weekend program at GCC. Just started. Any tips for a new student?

Congrats! I am just starting my pre-reqs for the nursing program at Glendale so I have a LONG way to go still.
For anyone who is/has went to Glendale for the nursing program, what did/do you think of it? What is the schedule like and such? How are the instructors? Any info would be appreciated :)

Congrats!! I will be starting the program in the spring, I have a long way to go!! Just curious.... I have been reading about the recent job market and it has made me nervous. Were you able to find a job quickly as a new grad????

Have they started placements for spring already? If so what was your time stamp?
I was accepted into the Fall program this year but I had to use my one time deferral. I just had a baby so I needed to wait until Spring. So - no, technically I haven't been placed, but I know that I will be. My time stamp was Oct 2007. On the web page it says they will be notifying everyone the end of this month or early October......

Hello all;
The first round of placements was today, and I got in to Glendale CC Weekend Day program for Jan. (my date stamp was 6/08) I will likely need to use my one-time deferral due to my current job situation, and I have a couple of questions for anyone who may know. First, when you defer, do you automatically get the same program next time? (Glendale was not my first choice). Second, if I deferred the January '10 placement, when does the next term for the Glendale weekend day option start, July? Any info would be appreciated, and also, I'm thrilled to know I will at least know how long my wait will be now! Good luck to all of you!!

If you need to defer then it will put you back into the pool. Then you will choose your top 5 schools, you might get #1 school because you will be far ahead of everyone else as far as time stamp goes.

Hi everyone I will be starting this Spring at GCC in their 4 semester traditional program. I'm so excited. I've waited a year and a half. It felt like forever. Anyone else starting GCC then too.
I'm currently at GCC taking my pre-reqs and let me tell ya, I am so envious of you nursing students..I can't wait until I get to wear the uniform too!!
