I got in to the weekend program, but I also got into college of the canyons so I may decline.

Congrats to you! Well if you do another student will be blessed at least you got in two programs I got denied so far everywhere. I am getting depressed ???

I wasn’t selected either, I was really hoping for the weekend program. I guess I’ll be attending LASC, something is better than nothing right.

Congrats to those who got in! I applied to 14 schools and 11 have rejected me so far. I’m waiting to hear from LA Allied, Pasadena and Cerritos. I am so pissed and feel defeated. I have 3.8 gpa and got a 79 on my TEAS. It’s so competitive and the lottos are doing me wrong! I’m truly hoping to get into LA Allied. I absolutely cannot afford West Coast or any other private school. I’m also in my mid 30s so I don’t have another 6 months to wait another application window. I’m thinking of pursuing the surgical tech program at my local adult ed. The income is low but I’ll get to be in the surgery room with benefits at least. I am at a loss for words at this point.

I know others can relate!

I completely can relate to you. I’m turning 30 this summer and can’t wait either. I also was denied at Glendale and probably Pierce since I didn’t hear anything from them. Moorpark rejected my application for a minor error. This is brutal. I have good stats like you. But the lottery doesn’t do us any good. Westcoast is my plan B.

Congrats to the people that got in though!

Hi congratulations! I also received my acceptance to the weekend program at GCC today I'm so happy! I got denied at COC but was also accepted to Pierce. Now I have to decide what would be the better choice for me. If you don't mind me asking what is making you lean towards COC?

Traffic mostly. My top choice is Ventura Community college as it’s only 20 minute drive for me. For those that’s don’t know they have a true waitlist. If you are not accepted with points you go on the list. You will get a for sure spot they update your waitlist number each semester. So if you got c’s in your science classes or bombed the Teas you’ll still get in eventually.

I went to COC orientation today as an alternate and the lady said only two students gets for sure spots in next semester, and they must attend first week of school. There were 20 alternates.
