  1. Yes, same here ! I’ve heard so many good things from previous professors but yeah it didn’t feel like the right fit. But good luck to you in your nursing journey, hope you find the right fit that best works for you !! Oh cool, operating room sounds really interesting. Good luck, I hope you hear back with good news !!
  2. I interviewed for the surgical unit. What unit did you interview with?
  3. Totally get you girl, the pay isn’t really what’s turning me off from the position either. Not sure if you felt the same way, but I felt like I didn’t connect with the interviewers during the interview and not sure if the hospital will be a match for me.
  4. Yeah unfortunately it doesn’t ? They gave me 48 hours to respond to the offer, still considering it but honestly not sure. What about you?
  5. Do you guys know what the average residency pay is at other hospitals? Not sure what to compare it to. Also the 3 year commitment is what is getting me as well ? I think they meant 3 years total. Because it’s 1 year of the residency program and then you must commit to them another 2 years after completing the residency program.
  6. When you went to SOAR, did you enroll in general ed classes? Because that happened to me when I first tried to add the nursing courses so I had to first drop two of the three gen ed classes I had previously enrolled in to be able to add the nursing ones. If not, other people were having that issue & one of the nursing administrators had to help them bc I think they were like blocked or something from registering. So you might need to call or wait until next orientation day? Hope that made sense !
  7. I had orientation yesterday at the San Bernardino campus and unfortunately we do not get our student ID. It’s definitely a long day but I found the financial aid segment helpful.
  8. Yes, I completely understand & feel the same way. Having to meet all these requirements before even starting the program is also nerve racking ! But I’m sure feeling this way is normal & expected
  9. Congrats !! I accepted yesterday
  10. Have you already accepted your spot ??
  11. Omg no sarcasm at all. Sorry, I genuinely wasn’t expecting to receive the letter so soon. So your post was literally the only reason I checked my mail !
  12. Thank you for the update, I wouldn’t have known to check my mail if it weren’t for your post.
  13. Congrats to those who got in! I checked my mail today and was also conditionally accepted! To those who haven’t checked their mail, I suggest you check it because the letter indicated we only have until May 22 to accept our spot. Best of luck to everyone!
  14. I just got the email, I wasn’t selected either. Congrats & good luck to those who did get in !
