Glendale Community College- Fall 2019

Late to the party! I was denied here and 5 other schools so far :( Does anyone know if glendale chooses alternates? Just curious how their system works. I'm waiting to hear back form LA valley and Pasadena. If I get denied to those schools then West Coast it is.

Hey you guys!! I just got the email at 4:51 PM Today that I was selected as an alternate for Summer/Fall 2019 and if no spots open I am guaranteed a spot for Winter/Spring 2020! I'm in tears. I can't believe it. Good luck to everyone!!!!! Never give up!

I just sent them an email declining my spot for Fall in the weekend/ evening program so hopefully you’ll make it in. Good luck!

Wow congrats to you!!! I wish I could get something like that. I had to send them an email confirm that I want to be an alternate. Seems like if anyone drops you are in the program either way.

Stats? And are u a 2md degree holder?

I have BA degree. 82 on Teas.

Science is 3.5 and cumulative is 3.4.

Congrats! I hope you get in! So I wonder if they are choosing alternates now as they begin to get people declining their spots? Did you get a denial email from them before you got an email about being an alternate?

Hopefully! I received a rejection 5/9. I emailed them immediately to keep my file. The alternate email said I have to take Summer 19 classes and if someone drops or fails I can continue to Fall or I just pick up again in Spring.

Did anyone who accepted a spot at GCC receive their information packet yet in the email? I accepted my spot a week ago but never received anything else in an email about orientation or anything. Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything ?

Hi yes I accepted my spot and received my welcome packet the next day. There is an email in the original acceptance letter that you can contact so they can send it to you.
