Glendale Community College (CA) Spring 2011

LATTC is Los Angeles Trade Tech. Basically they're first come, first serve (even though they'll tell you they have a wait list). I haven't heard yet what the LA County cut off is, usually someone will post when they start sending out letters. GCC is the first response I've gotten this semester, so far.

Thanks for the info regarding LA County. Sounds like you at least have a back up plan, so that is really a good thing. Try and keep your chin up. I know the waiting sucks, and I can only imagine that it gets worse from here on out. (This is my first semester applying, so I'm ready to face my share of rejection.)

LATTC is a good school. You get what you put in.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I looked at their catalog again today, did you know they're accredited by the NLN? That makes me feel a little better about the whole thing.

Hi Everyone! This is my first post. I received my letter from GCC (CA) yesterday. I am an alternate for the weekend/evening program. I was told that If I am not picked for Spring 2011, I have a guaranteed spot for Fall 2011. If I accept the offer I have to start taking nursing courses for Winter intersession. I believe these classes begin January 3, 2011. Did anyone else receive a similar response? I'm still waiting to hear back from LAVC and Pasadena City College.

I received the same response and then got a call the next day to let me know a spot had opened up, so I was being offered a guaranteed spot.

You're so lucky! I'm hoping that I get a call before Spring semester starts. What day are you going to the orientation?

I was accepted to the Evening/Weekend program. :yeah:

The deadline to submitt your intent from was today at 4:30pm. So I believe anyone who is an alternate should here back this week of open spots. The deadline to complete the Background Check & Drug Screening is 12/10. Orientations are bring held on 12/13 & 12/14.

I went to submit my intent today as an alternate. While I was there, they told me that someone declined their spot and I was chosen in the lottery. I accepted so I will be starting this Spring! I'm so excited. Congrats to everyone who got in :)

I got accepted into the evening/weekend program. Did all my background and drug screen stuff last week and now I am just anxiously awaiting the orientation on the 13th!!

Yes...I am applying! I need to submit my app next week! My friend got selected last draw and said she is enjoying it so far! Hopefully we both will get lucky!! =) It is a lottery system and I knew of 15 girls who applied last semester and a few did get in. So I'm going to cross my fingers and my toes!! =)
