Although, It says for students Everyone is welcome.
A few years ago I lost a significant amount of weight and increased my health by walking/running. I was involved with a support thread on another board. We shared our stats each week, our ups, and our downs. It was so helpful for me to be accountable for my actiions and numbers. Well, I was doing good, but had a surprise pregnancy now he is 2, and I am back where I was and then some.
With the unique considerations that come from fitting excercise and a healthy diet in during NS/and pre- reqs, I thought it might be nice to be able to share and support each other because we know better than anyone else the stress of time management and pressure of keeping our grades up.
I know that NS can be strenuous physically and I want to get in shape or at least a head start for this fall
Would anyone else like to join me?
i have honored my commitment this week to stay away from cokes and it didnt have as big of a reaction on the scales as i had predicted....i have been ok on food this week but the scales are only saying 1.4 lbs down for this week which is ok since weight loss usually avgs out to one or two lbs a week....today i indulged in a piece of oreo pie.....shame shame
i've been reading about "eating for your blood type" and i'm thinking that i might give it a try. it is supposed to naturally increase your metabolism. what could it hurt? i'm supposed to eat a lot of vegetables for my type. it also says that being a vegetarian is ideal, but i dont think i can completely give up chicken! lol.
I've been doing real well, but this weekend I'm working three overnights and I'm having a real hard time figuring out how much I've eaten. Isn't that silly? Just because I'm out of my routine, I don't have any concept of how much I've actually consumed. I know I've eaten the right foods, but I'm not real sure of the amounts over the course of a full day since I'm not eating at regular times and places. I keep waking up really hungry, so I don't think I overdid it.
Next weekend I'm going to keep a food log and really see how I've done.
Wishn....wow, thanks so much for writing all of that info into the post. I am going to give it a try. I have for the most part not used my 35 additional points since I started WW at the beginning of March. I was wondering when I dropped down from 170 to 169 how I was going to handled only 21 points a day. That's not a lot of points. I do allow more then 22 points that I am now using when I work out and earn the points.
I am definitely going to give it a try. I also asked my instructor at WW today to take a look at my track sheets and she is going to see if there is anyway to tweak it as well. I was down .2 pounds.....so incredibly pathetic, but on the bright side I am down .2 and not up.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Fuuchan as always you upbeat post really bring a smile to my face. Thank you so much. Thanks to everyone I was not in a good way yesterday. Today is a bit better.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Maine, I would imagine it would be hard to keep track when you are on a different shift. Just a thought but maybe weighing out things or putting them in baggies would help. I have major portion control issues. Now I measure everything and I use a scale to weigh as well. You are probably doing far better then you think!

Hello everyone! Hope you all have had a good week!
Today has been the only day that I have gotten to exercise this week. Work and school have been pretty crazy. Anywho, I have done very well on the eating this week. Now, I just have to make it through this weekend and hope I don't have a mess up like I did last weekend!
Good luck to us all!
