Do You Get Shift Differential?????

Yes my hospital pays a 4.00 an hour weekend diff, 3.oo for eves and 3.50 for nights. You are clearly not getting paid enough.

Yes, we get all of those differentials. But I'm in Canada, so the amount probably wouldn't be of much value to you.

From what I've seen and experienced around the country, most places do have differentials of some kind, and the amounts can vary from very little to quite a lot. Plus you have have differentials for charge, etc.

Do other facilities in your area have them? If so, I might present this info to TPTB.

we get 25% on the weekends and 15% on weekday nights

Our evening diff is $2.50 and the weekend diff is $3.00, but staffing positions such as you describe (weekends only=fulltime) at my facility are a special pay rate, higher than regular, that is not subject to differentials.

I work weekend doubles, 32hrs a weekend. I work Sat/Sun
7a-11p. This is considered FT in Texas. I make 21.50 an hour. I do not get weekend differential or evening differential. I am wondering if any of you get weekend, evening or night differential?

I work 7a-7p and get a $3.00/hr differential from 3p-7p and on the weekends get an additional $2.50/hr including the $3.00/hr from 3p-7p. Holidays we get $6.00/hr differential including the two mentioned above on top of that. So if you work a holiday on a weekend you really rack up! Night shift I know is $3.00/hr for the entire shift. LPN differential is 1/2 of all of the above. Techs 1/4 of the above. Not fair I know but that's what it is.

I get a dollar an hour for second shift, a dollar an hour for third, and an additional dollar an hour for being in the float pool. Plus all of the nurses got a $2.10 an hour raise across the board. I work 3p-3a so I work a combination of second and third shifts. The money is nice I can't complain.

an extra $2.75 for evenings, $3.75 for nights and $6.00 for weekend and time and 1/2 for Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years, plus a critical staffing bonus of $16.00/hr (This is only during critical staffing times and for shifts above and beyond your regular schedule and doesn't happen often) All these diffs are stackable.

I work at a "prestigious" place in Austin....independent apts rent for 5K+/month. We also have assisted living, medicare and LTC, alzheimer's unit Out of state Corp runs it. No differential at all...not much appreciateion, either from admin
