Hello all! This is my second time applying... I applied last spring with a 3.64 gpa and 86.7 teas score I got waitlisted and unfortunately never got off of it. I reapplied this month with a 3.71 gpa and the same teas. I would love to hear from all of y'all as I wait for an answer yet again! And good luck to all!!
I'll (finally!) be turning my app in on Thursday, so I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. I'm applying for both the ACE and traditional programs and would be thrilled with either!! Good luck to all as we begin the waiting game! Here are my stats:
Overall GPA: 3.71
Program GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 94
With tightly crossed fingers,

I am honestly looking so forward to just having the app in...I'm tired, tired, tired of stressing over it. It seems like all I've thought about the last few weeks was taking the TEAS, getting my letters in, and writing my essay...on top of trying to get through a&p 2, micro, micro lab, nutrition, and cultural diversity. I'm tired!!
I know that the stress and worry will soon follow, but I'm thinking that for at least a couple of weeks--until letters begin going out--I can stop worrying about my app, knowing that I've done what I can do. We'll see how that little plan works out for me.
One thing is for sure--on Thursday I will turn in my app and complete my last class before spring break...then I'm having a margarita and chilling for a few days!
Cheers (margaritas) to completing your application packet!!! It takes a lot of time and it is high pressure trying to make sure that everything is perfect and the quality you think the application review team is looking for. I applaud you on being able to manage classes and completing your nursing application at the same time. Unable to predict what this semester had in store, therefore I planned and fortunately was able to complete my packet between xmas and the snow break. With it complete and awaiting review, I can now focus on classes too: A&P II, NURS 2010, and Mircrobiology Lecture (was unable to register a lab). Good luck this semester!
@ shincurls--Best of luck to you!! Hopefully we'll all be posting congrats to one another in a few weeks. :)
@ggallo--I applaud you for doing exactly what I said I was going to do--finish the app during break. I've been *kicking* myself the last few weeks for not getting it done before starting such a busy semester. You were smart!!
Hi, glad to hear that Mercer is already sending out acceptance letters. I sent in my application before Christmas. I took my TEAS on Feb. 12 and received a 88 score. My current GPA is a 4.0. I hope to hear from then soon. I'm wondering how to get all the financial aid worked out in time for Fall 2011. I know you mentioned that you have to let Mercer know by March if you want them to reserve you a spot. I guess once they notify a person of acceptance you only have a month to pay your reservation? So ready to just KNOW where I will be going!!

Thanks ggallo for the info, I will def keep that handy. I'm taking my pre-reqs at Gwinnett Tech and won't finish until the summer. I'm applying to GSU for the Fall (as well as the Spring if I don't get accepted). I'm also applying to Emory (my second choice since they have the BSN/MSN option), Clayton State, Mercer and Kennesaw State.
