Is anyone applying for Fall 2010 admission to this program?

Is the TEAS for possible entrance into the Wellstar scholarship program? Why do you guys have to take the TEAS once you've already gotten in? Thanks.

I am not sure why we have to take it once we are in, unless it is a state requirement now for all nursing programs. But that is a good question.

I sent an email yesterday asking what the test results from the TEAS will be used for so I'll post when I get a reply.

Congrats everyone! I'm in too!

I was told we have to take the TEAS test to see what our strengths and weaknesses are and it will not affect our acceptance into the program. Does anyone who has taken it before have any advice or suggestions?

My advice about preparing for the TEAS would to not over think it. There were several metric conversions, fractions things like that I would touch up on especially if you have not done them in a while. There are no calculators allowed so all the math is by hand so you have to use your time wisely. If you search in this forum under teas there are links to practice tests and many people recommend to get the practice test you can purchase from ATI, I did not however.

I'll be coming from Kennesaw as well. Hopefully, we can all carpool either to Rome or Marietta.

Carpooling sounds good to me!:yeah:

Anyone interested in carpooling to the Keys to Success workshop July 29th? I also have a registration appointment at 1:10, which was told should only take about 5 mins.

If people do not mind sharing, how many of you have been attending GHC?

If not what schools will everyone be coming from, myself I currently attend KSU.

I'd love to carpool on the 29th. And I have not been attending GHC.

I just got the reply about the TEAS test. They are using the results as a guide for what we may need to focus on personally to be successful in the program. Fall of 2011 they will be using the test as part of the admission process though.

That's interesting about the TEAS. I'm taking it the morning of the 21st and then have a registration appointment at 3:50 that afternoon - going to do my scrub and possibly book shopping in between. If anyone wants to carpool for an all-day affair in Rome, let me know. =)

Do we get a booklist when we register? Or is it availble somewhere online somewhere I would like to start looking for some of the books right now if possible.

I got accepted to NGCSU!!!! Its at the Forsyth campus which is literally 3 miles from my house! GOD works miracles! I am so excited! I just got my letter today...wasn't even expecting it. I was on the waiting list for the 2nd year! but good luck to you all and thanks for the support! I am so excited!!!
