Hi Everyone,
I just submitted my application for Georgetown's Accelerated BSN starting Spring 2010 and I just wanted to open a post for anyone else that has applied as well.
Worst case scenario- I would pay around $1500 including utilities with only 1 roommate in Arlington, VA. The apartments there are only 2 bedrooms so it would be pretty difficult to have 3 people living there.
About the place I posted earlier- if it's right near campus, I don't think its expensive at all. Especially since Georgetown is very expensive to live in. The place I posted would be ~940 so possibly up to $1000 including utilities--> with 5 people living there!
My budget is between $900-$1500.
A 5 minute walk to campus would be nice, but I also don't mind walking 30 minutes. It just depends what is available. Like I said earlier, I feel that the really good deals wouldn't be available in December, it would be more like June-August.
I also found another amazing house, gorgeous! and pets are allowed on a case by case basis. The downside is that it requires a 2 year lease. but that might not be a bad thing considering the program length + WHC program.
very close to campus---- $4,750

i have edited a few posts and removed email references, fb references and soliciting for room mates
Whoa. So much is going on.
Anyway. I looked @ both the postings for the two places, they look really really nice. I'm fine with either as long as its within my price range: max $900-ish (rent+ all utl.). Oh, and I dont mind having a few dogs around--I'd consider that a plus...as long as they dont puke in my room.
What about furniture though ladies? Are we just going to buy/get it off of Craigslist or something? (I can't afford to buy all new stuff)
I also added some of you guys on FB. Since we can't really talk about certain things here. Feel free to email/PM/ add me on FB too. I joined the FB group.
JustJane,
I like the places that you posted. Especially this one -->http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/apa/1417447029.html
If you don't mind having a dog around, let me know! Maybe we can work something out.. I posted more stuff on FB so check it out!
No worries I got rejected too and I'm glad they did. They are snobbish and didn't care for the interviewers. They pretty shut me down before I even opened my mouth. Your GPA is way higher than mine so Im surprised they didnt accept you. If I were you, I'd email to ask if its worth applying again. I did the same thing and she never responded. Needless to say, I got turned down for the second time. Screw GU! lol

Thanks for replying to my thread! I really like the place that you are looking at, on average how much you think you are expecting for your monthly rent and utilities? I'm really trying to make out a budget.
The place seems on the expensive side, but like you said it's really nice, has a lot of good amenities and also conveniently close to campus.
