Hi Everyone,
I just submitted my application for Georgetown's Accelerated BSN starting Spring 2010 and I just wanted to open a post for anyone else that has applied as well.
Hi Everyone :)
First off CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who's gotten accepted into the Accelerated Nursing Program at Georgetown! =D I interviewed on September 22nd too and I see there are a few of you in this forum who interviewed the same day.
Naz, I remember you mentioning this website when I met you the day before the interview. I decided to join because I was quite overwhelmed while looking for housing.
Hope everyone's well!

Ok, I found a place that is about a 7-10 minute walk to campus. In my earlier posts, I stated that I was looking for 1-2 roommates but I saw this ad, and couldn't pass it up! I will also NOT be bringing my dog, since most of the places are not pet friendly (it is easier that way).
I emailed the owner and I am waiting to hear back.

This is great for those of us who want to literally be on campus!
I also forgot to mention, I can drive to go check out the places one weekend and take pictures and such... just to make sure. I think I may be the closest (4 hours). I was just there the other weekend visiting my sister, but it was before we found out we were accepted. Anyway, it's not a big deal for me to go to D.C.
I posted a discussion on the fb page. So far I think WLJ2009 likes it, I like it, and you like it! and there's a basement apartment available if more people want to move in the house. I think it's separate bills though and probably more expensive! I guess the hardest part is to convince the landlord to hold it for us for 2 months--

Allimar--I'm doing a combo of everything. I dont want one giant loan where the interest payments will accrue to $20k in a few years. I'm working on the stupid CSS profile thing so I can get a finaid package from GU.
Do apply for a FAFSA right now, if you havent already. And look around for some scholarships, works esp well if youre an ethnic minority. I plan on applying to some soon. I'll post what I know here...I found some in the Peterson's book, dont have that with me now.
I've heard of ppl paying for their BSN with just scholarships (altho theirs was much much cheaper than ours). No worries!
