Hi guys!
Congratulations to all that were accepted already! :yes:I know the application deadline is 10/1, but I received my email last week. My prereqs were finished August 15th. I am excited and at the same time nervous about leaving work and starting school full-time. I heard that there will be about 55-60 students in our cohort.
I love Virginia/DC and the fact the GWU is a great school makes it even more surreal. I am awaiting the orientation date, but hopefully will visit before then. I am from the NYC area and look forward to meeting everyone!! I was actually also accepted to a school upstate NY, (12 month program starting in Jan as well) but the winter months are brutal!!
Did anyone look into housing yet? I've heard that VA/DC/MD traffic is among the top worst in the country. Let's get to know one another. Best of Luck to everyone!
Hello all!
I just recently got my acceptance letter and am very excited! I went to undergrad in DC so I am a little familiar with public transportation/location. The campus is in Ashburn, VA which is pretty close to Dulles Airport, about 30-45 minutes outside the city. However i would recommend not relying on public transportation AT ALL. The metro can be pretty unreliable and is only open 6am - midnight on weekdays and 7am- 2am on weekends. Using public transportation for clinicals seems like it could be problematic.
As for living, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm think the best place would be on the outskirts of DC. That way your somewhat in the middle of classes/where clinicals could be.
Thoughts?

Hey I think I saw that science building & classes are in Loudoun, VA... I wonder if it's Ashburn which is def the main campus, but I wdnt want to move somewhere & find out our main lectures are farther.. Does anybody know for sure?
I submitted by application on August 19 & it was verified on August 23rd. I still have not received a decision yet and I am getting very anxious! For those accepted, how long did you take you to hear a decision from the time your application was verified?
It took them less than a month to answer to mine... about 2 weeks from verified.. at least you know they are already reviewing them so shouldn't be long. Maybe you should contact them, sometimes it helps. I completely forgot about GWU and was concentrated in applying somewhere else, when I got an email, so now just waiting for acceptance package and check out housing if i attend... hope you get in too, is that the only school you applied?

I am still awaiting a decision from them. I sent in my application at the eleventh hour, right before the deadline of 10/1. I have not heard back anything except that they received my application and that it is being reviewed.
To those who were accepted, I am curious: how much time was there between submitting your application and hearing a decision?
