The best hairstyle for female student

I am planning on getting my haircut just before I start classes. I am just wondering what people thought was the best sort of hairstyle to have

LOL, can totally relate..i'm not sure about the haircut part (I have long layers), but a sloppy bun, ponytail, two pieces from each side pulled back...(lol i could go on 4ever!)..works for me!! It keeps my hair out of my face and lets me do my job!! :)!! John 3:16

Anything that will keep your hair out of your face, your mouth, and won't touch your patients when you are leaning over. I finally grew out my short layers so I can pull it all back. I always like seeing how nice everyone looks with their new cuts after breaks because some of us can start looking frumpy if those short cuts aren't maintained.

It could depend on your school. The program I am in does not allow messy up-dos. I had shoulder-length hair at the beginning of the semester and by the second week of school I decided to cut it short...short enough that I couldn't pull it up. I usually wear head-bands or pull the bangs back with bobby pins.

Im in the same predicament. Our hair can not touch the collar of our shirt. My hair isn't terribly long, but if I put it in a ponytail it will touch my collar. I wish I could just cut my hair short, but in order for it not to be in your face it has to be pretty short and I do not look good with really short hair.

I'm gonna get another weave. It helps me save time doing other things than my hair!

That is crazy! I've never had any problems with my long hair pulled up in a ponytail, even when it does touch the collar of my shirt. I don't know what I would do in that situation. I love having long hair. People pay hundreds for extensions, it would be a very sad day if I ever had to cut my hair. Luckily, there is no such rule for that here.

We have that same rule! No hair touching the collar. I let mine grow out so I could put it up in a bun. I had such a cute A line cut 2 years ago, but I injured my shoulder which resulted in frozen shoulder. I was unable to flat iron it anymore, so had to grow it out instead! It's easy to throw up in a bun when i need to!

In LPN school, I had super short hair. I grew it out through the year but it was still a short style at graduation. Now I have shoulder length that I keep pulled back in a ponytail or twist/clip most days...still wet. I love super short hair because you wash and go, mid-short length requires too much effort (for me). I know that our "rules" say off the collar but it depends on the instructor. It may depend on the facility, I've noticed that most nurses where we've had clinicals wear their hair down regardless of the length.

I like long hair. It's so versatile. I used to wear ponytails, but they give me such bad headaches--even wearing a low ponytail does the same. So now I wear a single french braid and I am headache free.

Our hair isn't supposed to touch our collars. I would be in serious trouble if that rule was enforced, because I haven't figured out a way to stay headache free and keep my hair off my collar.

bald:lol2:

the no hair touching ur collar is kinda silly for females. for guys i can understand, bc if it touches the collar its sloppy/too long.

my hair is pretty much down to my waist, its straight right now so ill usuallly just use a hair tie, when doing pt care. but then let it out.. if i have it curly, ill have it in a high pony tail or half up/half down type deal.

most of patients in clincal havent been too "messy", my patients at work however... im almost wishing i was bald and had no skin. they are.. a handful hahah

Something that is easy to care for and style, because you're going to find yourself up to your neck in school and studying: you may not want (or have) the time to deal with a fancy hairstyle. Also, hairspray, even the unscented kind, often has a scent which may be bothersome to your patients. So the simpler the hairstyle, the better.

Also the hairstyle should be something that can be pulled back if necessary for clinicals.
