Went to a community theatre presentation of Hello Dolly and attended the cast party afterward. Community theatre people are very interesting; I met a great group of people.
Went to a comedy club and laughed my butt off.
Nursed my sister's sick tropical fish back to health.
Oh yeah, almost forgot... got a nurse internship position that will guarantee some summer bucks and good experiences.
Bought that pair of Dansko clogs that I've been meaning to buy for a long time. Hope they're worth the bucks.
Watched a couple of videos. Loved the Notebook. Exorcist, the Beginning was a waste of time and money.
Various and sundry errands like taking the car in for it's regular service, the vet for shots, etc.
The one fly in the ointment is that so far, I haven't made it to the beach. The weather has been wet and cold. To set the stage, I live in south Florida just a two minute walk from the beach. The not so nice weather started the day after break started. :stone
There are four days left and tomorrow is supposed to be nice. Me and my umbrella will be on the beach.
I've done my preceptorship (well, I do the last 5 hours tomorrow)
I've studied some
I've spend 1.5 days puking w/ the stomach bug thats going around
I've gone shopping
I'm going to the doctor today
I've been cleaning
I'm going to my own baby shower on Sunday
I HAVE NOT been sleeping as much as I wish I could have during spring break!
I've studied what seems to be 12,568 hours and in-between times I've managed to get my car repaired, go to the dentist, go to the dr, go to the eye doctor, have a parent teacher conference, enroll the lad in summer baseball, go to Wal-Mart, had work call me all 4 days this week that haven't already been there (even though the schedule has giant red lines through the date with the word NO).
I have not, however, had much time to sleep which is really all I wanted to do while on Spring Break....that's OK....6 more weeks of school and then maybe I'll get to sleep.
Studying for my last final! It's the day after Easter. It's almost all new material!:angryfire :angryfire I was planning to get a little of a break, but I guess it's true what they say about no rest for the wicked. I don't care. I'm almost done. Also getting ready for my mentorship that starts the day after the final. Only 6.5 weeks to go.
Unfortunately my school follows the school district we live in-not college spring break schedule so I won't see a vacation until April 18. However, in April I plan to finish getting situated in my new house (or start, depending on how much I actually get accomplished between 4/1 and 4/16) and/or go back to Atlanta to FINALLY visit my in-laws.
Mine starts after my finals next week. I've been daydreaming about it! I'm not going anywhere although I want to do a lot of stuff. I have some reading to do for school but not too much. I want to go to the art museum in the city, hang out with my bf, catch up with friends who I've sorely neglected this semester, and enjoy some quality time with my pillow. It's going to be great!! :balloons:
Spring Break should be a time for us all to rejuvenate ourselves. I don't know about you, but I am sleep deprived. So at the top of my list of things to do next week is sleep! Maybe try the beach if the weather is nice enough. Spend some time with my son at the park. Curl up with a good novel! When was the last time you read for enjoyment, lol? Oh I can't wait. Everyone have a great vacation!

My spring break officially started this afternoon as well. I plan on weed eating all the weeds in my yard. You see, we've actually gotten some rain this winter here in AZ, so my yard is full of weeds, some taller than my 4 year old daughter.
I also plan on doing my process recording for my psych rotation, and maybe a little shopping.

I have spent my week working and studying.
Nothing fun at all! How sad is that? I just better do well on my tests in a couple weeks for doing all this studying!
