My name is Heather and I am finishing up the junior semester of an ADN program. If all goes well with finals, I should be graduating in May.

Not married, no kids, 28 years old. Sometimes, I feel like I have the world by the short and hairies. Other times, I feel like the world is giving me a nurple.

I've been working in a hospital for the past 7 years in orthopedics. Arrangements are being explored for a transfer to the ER upon finishing school. I'm so excited...I can't wait to be verbally abused by "frequent flyers" and "drug seekers".

This is one of the best nursing sites I've seen. Can't wait to get started!!!

    Hi everyone,
My name is Sarah. I have been an LPN for 19 years, and will graduate in June 2004 from an ADN program. I am a wife to the most wonderful man in the world, and a mother of 4boys ages 21, 18, 10, & 8., and a daughter--age 4. I work on a subacute and rehabilitation floor at our local hospital, and love it. I live in Ohio, but planning on relocating to the Atlanta/ surrounding area in Georgia after graduation.

    Hey everybody.

I am 22 years old with a 2 year old daughter. Nursing is my second career option. Actually, I am going to attend CRNA schooling once I get my experience. I am starting a ASN program in the fall and I'm confused as to which program would be best for me. One Program is 10 months (accelerated for those with Bachelor Degrees already) and the other is 2 yrs. I was contemplating if I am going to learn everything that I need to know as a beginning nurse in a 10 month period. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi. I'm Amy, a 30 y/o mom of three (ages 6, 7, 8) and wife. I just finished my first semester of my ADN program and I am loving it!!! I looked forward to clinicals even though it meant getting up at 4:30. One of the best parts is that I am always able to be home when my kids come home from school.

A friend recommended this site as a great resource and I am so glad he did. This is a great place! Thanks to all who participate. :kiss

    Hi there,

I'm taking prereqs for an accelerated 2nd degree BSN. My first degree was in communications, so I'm now taking all those math and science classes I avoided the first time around

I'm leaving my job as a conference planner at the end of January to finish my prereqs because I just can't handle working and going to school at the same time. Seems like it's taking forever, one class at a time! I have no idea how my husband and I are going to survive money-wise for the next 2 years, but I suppose we'll figure it out! I plan to start the accelerated BSN program in January '04. It's going to be an exciting (and scary!!!) journey!

I look forward to sharing our experiences!

Hi, I'm Megan. I'm 23 and a single mom to a 4 year old girl. I've just started taking my pre reqs for nursing. I don't know if I'll be doing an ADN or BSN program yet. The schools are so competitve here that I'm applying to every program within 45 minutes of my house (which is about 5), whoever accepts me will determine my program.

I'm really excited and about twice as nervous, but I believe in myself and thankfully have the support of my family and a wonderful BF.

I look forward to my journey with all you other soon to be nurses out there.
