How much does your tution cost?????

My own cost $10,100 a semester? How much is yours?

At orientation they told us that, start to finish, the ASN program was about $10,000. So far, I haven't had to pay a dime. I've had federal pell grants all through my GenEd and I'm still receiving them for NS.

Community college, 2 year associate's program.

It's around $90 a credit hour. I've spent close to $1300 this semester already on books and tuition. And that's not counting the $130 I spent on uniforms (a Christmas gift) and another $150 on a stethoscope, bandage scissors and shoes (another Christmas gift). Ok, so I want pricey shoes, but I've had foot problems, and there is no way I'm going to be in pain before I've even gotten a "real" job. And the nursing program director said you don't want a "cheap" stethoscope if you're planning on making a career of nursing.

Up until now, I've been lucky. Community college is really a deal, we've been able to pay cash for all the prerequisites I've done. But, we don't have that kind of money for nursing school lying around. So I've got Stafford loans. I figure it's going to be around $12,000 when it's all said and done for an associate's. Hopefully I'll have a job that will help pay for the BSN I want.

mine costs too &*$#% much!

mine is about 150 a credit hour plus misc. fees and books. with pre reqs and nursing program I am looking at about 35,000 in loans for Assoc. then I'm on for Ba and masters, I figure I'll have about 150,000 in loans by the time I start paying them back.:uhoh3:

My first semester is costing $670 in tuition and about $600 in textbooks.

Wouldn't it be nice to have all states have the same tutition rate :) I know that is wishful thinking but ooh well.

$32,000 for an ADN program :icon_cry: But... all worth it in the end

Wow. I hope you've really planned that out.

I can't imagine being in debt for $150,000 for any education save being a physician.

Have you run some return-on-investment calculations on what you're planning to spend?

I would imagine the payments on $150,000 is outrageous! yikes!

approx. 40,000 for an accelerated BSN program--but it will be well worth it!
