  1. Congratulations!!! I got my letter in January and I was sooooo excited too! Good Luck :) :monkeydance:
  2. Hi Lanie, That book looks great! I just ordered it, thanks for the tip!
  3. I was accepted to Brockton Hospital School of Nursing for Fall 07!!!
  4. The school that I applied to is much different than the others in my area, the requirements are high school bio and chem only, there are no placement tests and I was required to submit an essay with my application and attend an info session.
  5. Hi Cathy, I got in too!!!! I got the letter today finally!!!! Yipeeeee!!!!
  6. Thank You! I'll definitely keep you posted! I'm thinking tomorrow it will be here too.
  7. Congratulations Cathy!!!!! I'm so happy for you, that is wonderful!!!! You must be so excited and thrilled that the wait is finally over!!! Now begins the fun part, waiting until classes begin!!! Best of Luck in School :) I just checked my mail and still nothing, so hopefully tomorrow I'll get some good news also!!! :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons:
  8. Calbert, I'll keep you posted also. Until then we'll keep our fingers crossed!! (And try not to stalk the mail man!) I called my school and asked about the letters and got the same reply "getting them together", I was secretly hoping they would tell me over the phone! Oh well, just a few more days and we'll know for sure!!! Talk about Butterflies in my stomach :uhoh21: Good Luck!!!
  9. Have you heard anything yet? I still haven't, it's to the point where family and friends are calling, e-mailing, texting with "so, did you get in?" This is torture!!!
  10. I know EXACTLY how you feel too. The school that I applied to, the decision date is also the 15th, which of course there is no mail. So I've been obsessively checking my mail just on the off chance that they decided to mail them out a bit early, but of course not. So it looks like we will be finding out hopefully Thursday or Friday. We'll just have to hang in there, but the wait is unbearable, I know!!! I thought about calling them to find out, but I'm just going to wait it out a few more days. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
  11. It may be too late at this point, however if you are still interested, my boyfriend lives on The Vineyard and is familiar with the project. The hospital was just approved for construction by the Martha's Vineyard Commission and will begin work on the new hospital in the next 6-8 months. It is my understanding that although more nurses will be needed, it won't be for another 2 years or so... If you want more info you can look into the archives of The Martha's Vineyard Times: The largest-circulated weekly newspaper on the island of Martha's Vineyard. and there you will find the complete explanation of the status. As far as I know, the pay is slightly higher than the state average. Hope this helps!! Happy New Year
  12. I have to admit, up to this point I have enjoyed all of my pre-reqs except for public speaking (which I still got an A in!). I think mainly this is because I really like school and in the end it will all be worth it!
  13. Cincin1, I wish you the best of luck and I have my fingers crossed for you!!!
