How much are you paying...

How much are you paying for nursing school (this semester)?

I just looked at my future dues for this coming Autumn Semester and have about 7000 dollars (not including books) to pay for. No scholarship money, and what it worse is that I am only taking thirteen credit hours.

I was wondering, how much are you going to have to pay for? How much do you average? And how many credit hours are you taking?

I got a California State University and my tuition is around $3800 per semester not including books.

$98/credit hour plus special fees. This semester will cost me around $1450, not including books, uniform, etc. I am very pleased.

Specializes in Public Health Nurse.

$757.00 for two classes in the BSN program, double that for four classes per semester (the maximum you are allowed to take per semester). Pretty good for BSN at college. I know I will have to pay more than that when I get my MSN. Unemployed at the moment, so I got a Pell Grant.

Specializes in Aesthetics, Med/Surg, Outpatient.

My BSN is about $6500 for 12+ credits ... but I am also applying to the CC (plan B) close to me which is $125.75 per credit hour or $1,509.00 for 12+ credits

My ADN @ local comm. college is 69.00 per credit hour @8 hrs in 1st semester for core classes only. I'm in NC.

Oh, & the books for whole program had to be purchased up front. That was 1800$.

BSN student, taking 13 credit hours. All numbers very approximate.

Activity and student fees: $400.

Course fees for nursing courses: $200

Distance learning fees (I have one course that is broadcast from another location): $60

Parking fee: $40

Tuition: $3200 (again, this is for 13 credit hours.

Books are separate; I haven't bought them for fall yet.

It all adds up to just under $4000 for the semester. I'm an in-state student. My fiance attends the same school and is an out-of-state student. He pays more like $12,000 for the semester. Neither of us receive financial aid in any form since we still have to declare our parents' income on the FAFSA. Next year we will be old enough to leave them off and I anticipate a LOT of financial aid; neither of us makes all that much.

$675/unit for an ABSN program at a private university with a total of 55 units in 12 months. Don't qualify for grants since I have a BA already  Haven't had much luck looking for scholarships either. Bring on the stress of financing this journey!

At my local technical College in GA, tuition+fees for this semester is 1464 for 14 credit hours for my first semester in the nursing program. I receive pell because my father is retired and draws social security (yes I was a laaaatteee baby for him) and also a SEOG grant. The only loan I need is a $1000 loan per semester for the remainder of books and supplies that my grants will not cover which is like $100 but I have to take a minimum loan amount of $1000(private loan). My school just recently stopped issuing federal loans because of the amount of students that were not paying them back.So I'll be $7000 in debt by the end of it all I believe give or take.

My tuition is right at $1500 for 8 hours in my BSN program. Then, of course, the fees.....they NEVER end.
