  1. I think I bombed the interview :(

I had my very first RN interview yesterday for a position in a new grad academy. It lasted all of 20 minutes. One of my classmates said hers lasted well over 40 minutes. I feel like in my effort to not come across as nervous I may have instead came o...
  2. I didn't seroconvert with the Hep B Vaccine

I had the series of hep b in 2012 before starting nursing school. I had a titer drawn in December 2014 for a job that showed I was not immune. One additional booster shot worked for me.

  5. GTCC ADN Spring 2015

Biggest advice I can give you is to learn how to break down nclex questions. There's almost always a little bit of correctness in each possible answer but you have to choose the most correct one. That takes practice. Most of the nclex practice books ...

  10. Care Plan - PAD, Ineffective Tissue Perfusion?

b/w means between - that was my own shorthand from my notes on assessment, not in clinical write-up thank goodness. I had no idea it could mean so many other things.
  11. Care Plan - PAD, Ineffective Tissue Perfusion?

This was my pt last week. I turned my assignment in earlier today. I use the Sparks & Taylors ND & Reference Manual 9th edition. The patient was extremely independent and her major complaint was that her arm was sore due to the procedure in w...
  12. Anyone doing well?

I've passed the clinical and skills to this date and I am 2.5 points away from an A for my entire first semester. I'm very proud of this because I have worked harder on this grade than any previous ones. Keep it up everyone.
  13. GTCC Spring 2014

Congratulations to the both of you! I started the day ADN program this past August. I am counting down the days until the semester is over for sure. It has been a crazy ride with more work than I expected by far but I'm still pumped to keep going.
  14. Care Plan - PAD, Ineffective Tissue Perfusion?

This is my first semester so we haven't officially cracked open the med/surg books but I assure you the seal is now going to be broken. Off I go to search for interventions. Thanks for the advice.
