clinical uniforms

Just wondering what the uniform is at everyone else's school.

We have whites and a blue/white pinstriped cobber's apron.

We wear all white with a red name pin. We're planning a ritual burning of them on May 6. WOOHOO!!!

We have white, tunic length tops with white pants, white shoes, white socks...Our top has a patch with our school logo on the left arm. We can choose from a lot of different styles, they just have to be white. We also have to have a long lab coat with a patch on it. For ceremonies we have to have a white dress from the uniform store (pick one of these 5) with white hose, white shoes, and cap. yech. I guess it could be worse though...

I guess you can say I am a very lucky girl! We get to choose the scrubs we want to wear! We just cannot wear black! Anything else goes! We HAVE to wear a University crest on out front R side and an ID badge!! I feel very very lucky!! LOL!!

Eww, I would hate having to buy a complete outfit with hose & everything, just for ceremonies, that I'd only wear once. You'd never get me in one of those white dress uniforms. Never. Well OK if meant being a nurse or not, I guess I'd do it once. But YUK. :nurse:

Ours our all white (ugh!) and we have to sew our school patches on the sleeve.......I as well will be having a burning party on May 9th. I'm tired of wearing white granny panties.

$135.00 for school scrubs, that is unreal! Don't they know most nursing students are not rich??

Our scrubs are navy blue with the school name embroidered on them, and the lab coat is white. Tops are $18, pants $11 and lab coat is $22 all are sold at the campus bookstore. I can buy to sets and still be under the 135.00, what a rip!

Good luck and enjoy!!

Oh, what I would give to be able to wear scrubs!!!!!!! We have to wear all white....white pants, white button down top & white lab jacket. The material is thin & practically see through....grrrrr. I guess the only reprieve is that we get to choose exactly what type we want to wear. Next semester they will be required to buy a school regulated uniform so that everyone looks the same.

We had a bonfire at a classmate's house after graduation, into which many of us happily tossed our whites. (Since white makes me look like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, I was among the first!) But for those of you who must still endure the indignities (not to mention inconvenience) of white uniforms, I have a hint: beige underwear. I'm serious---it doesn't show through your clothes like white or any other color does. Try it, you'll like it!

Ceal blue top that snaps (so that when we lean over, they gap, and the patients get a nice shot of our bras if we don't wear a t shirt underneath) with our school logo embroidered on the LEFT hand side (heaven forbid it isn't on the left side) and of course the ever popular white pants.

I can't wait until June when I NEVER have to wear ceal blue again!!! :D

Ours are white pants (feh) and a burgundy top with our school crest or logo or whatever on it.

We have all white. Pleated tunic top, and white scrubs. School patch and name tags are required. Hasn't changed in over 25 years. The smart folks find clinicals and clinical instructors who allow scrubs instead of school uniforms. Fortunately, there are many.
