Class of 2006

Nursing Students General Students

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

Very cool! Enjoy your "toys"! ;)

:)

If I get accepted I will be in the graduating class of '06. Taking Anatomy & Phys 1 now, plus others, and A&P2 & Micro Summer. All I have to do to get into the program is make the highest grades in the classes. HaHa

Well I can't say I have any support except for online.

Should be interesting day tommorrow. I'm asking for a raise. If they say no I'm demanding one.

Sounds like a fun (if hectic) summer to me, MrNurse... I loved A&P and Micro, but then I had a great prof.

Good luck with the raise Agent, I'm sure you deserve one. Lucky here I guess, we usually get small raises with our performance review each year.... I don't know that I'd be assertive enough right now to go ask for one! Ack!

I wish I had known what I wanted to do with my life when I was 19 (not that I'm THAT old now, but still...)

When do your actual nursing courses start? If I get in, I think we start doing basic CNA type stuff in July/summer II term, this get down to the nitty gritty starting in the fall.

Good luck! Sounds like a fun semester - I loved micro, and am really sort of a computer nerd. I once considered majoring in computer science, but figured that was a bad idea. :)

Hi everyone. Summer 1 will be my last semester of pre-reqs. I am currently taking, A&P 1, Dev Psych, and a Chem lab. I am getting ready to take the entrance exams at two schools both of which supposedly have openings for fall 04 semesters. Wish me luck, as I wish all of you!!!

The hardest part seems to be finding a school with openings in the actual nursing program. Is anyone else having this problem? I live in the South Jersey/Philly area and almost all of the ADN programs have a long waiting list.

Wow, a chem lab but no lecture? How did you manage that? :)

Hopefully this will be my last semester of pre-reqs too... No, that's not right. I have two PE type classes I'll have to take summer term I.

Good luck! I'm so glad we don't have to do an entrance exam! I get test anxiety like you wouldn't believe! :o

I've only applied to one school, but they don't keep a waiting list from year to year - you have to reapply every year, so if you have the stats - you get in. :)

I took the chem class last semester. Unfortunately, they only have two lab classes each semester. Initially, I was scheduled to take them together but there was a glitch in the computer, translation, someone f'd up, and I was stuck with this arrangement.

How lucky you are not having to take the entrance exam. Honestly, I think it is another way for the school to milk money out of me. I have busted my butt to maintain a 3.75 GPA because I was told it had some bearing on acceptance into our program....apparently that is not the case.

Lots of Luck!!!

i will start september 2004!!!! i am enjoying my semester so far i actually really like all my classes and because of that i dont mind the tremendous amount of reading. the only class i really dont care for is computers becuase it is a basic class to teach people how to use microsoft word, excell, and internet use. i am a computer dork so i am usually really, really bored in the class but i will surf the net while in class and things like that
