What color is your OR?

I was just reading an article about the use of color in OR settings. Something that was recommended was that Staff wear a light shade of green, and that walls in the OR be painted green as well. The theory was that green is a neutralizing color for red. Looking in the procedure, with blood and internal organs being shades of red, green was supposed to be used to reduce eye strain. What color is your OR painted and what shade do you OR nurses wear?

Just thought it was interesting :)

Light green is good. It doesn't clash with the color of US currency.

light grayish blue walls and the same color scrubs.

White walls in the Upstairs ORs and in the down stairs it's the green tile stuff. Light Blue scrubs for everybody.

our walls are light blue but the LIGHTS so bright that I don't think they would be easy they eye anyhow. and all of us nurses and drs wear blue scrubs ............the ones who are not scrubbed in, of course. all in all, i would say it is not a very relaxed or nice place to be if you are the patient.......good thread.

We have a whole load of different colored OR's most of them in the light blue or grey ranges. One of them however is bright yellow, and is also known as sunshine theatre. It is so bright in there, that we only need half the lights to be on.

We have 2 colors of scrubs, OR green and teal.
