Okay, so 2018 is just around the corner. While we all hope for peace, good health and prosperity, what are some of the particulars of your hopes/goals for 2018?

For myself:

1. I just started a new job and hope to get it more organized.

2. I need to gain a new perspective on nursing as a whole so that I can approach it with a fresh mind/outlook.

3. Cont my weight loss journey.

4. Change my overall attitude towards stressors in my life and establish better-coping skills.

So...how about you??

"Hold the guitar and sit at the piano" every day (no pressure to play , but the Theory is that it's doable and that I will likely play while I'm sitting. Confession every time I'm around for it. This has been such a healing sacrament for me and I grow Leaps and bounds every time I go. I can't imagine what I could accomplish if i kept it up! Then just master every day and only think about the future when I have enough information to make changes.

Begin my BSN program, and get ready to apply for CRNA programs!

I am preparing to compete in a bodybuilding competition this upcoming fall.

Also am thinking about buying a new puppy, but can't decide what breed yet.

I only have one professional goal for the year:

1. Getting better at my job. It's been a huge learning curve, and I often feel like I'm not doing a very good job. I would like to get through an entire fiscal year under budget and with a target PI.

My other goals:

2. Get my garden under control and figure out the growing seasons in coastal Oregon (it's vexed me, thus far)

3. Complete some moderate home projects (redoing our bathroom, building a fence around the garden beds and chicken coop)

4. Catch a salmon

"Hold the guitar and sit at the piano"

That's exactly the same theory that a novelist gave re: writing. "Ass in chair". As in, if you're sitting in front of your computer, there's the POTENTIAL that you'll actually write something. Just one of many things I have to start pushing myself on again.

Specializes in Neuro/Trauma Critical Care.

I'm starting my first nursing job in January so my goals are pretty focused on that such as:

1) Be a good advocate for myself

2) Seek out & develop supportive nurse friendships in the workplace

3) Challenge myself daily to be out of comfort zone

My other goals include practicing music more, writing, and developing deeper friendships!

1. Start my RN program in August.

2. Follow through with all my dental appointments (I absolutely dislike the dentist)

3. Continue on the path to better mental health.

1. Finish up last two sciences: micro and A&P2 and maintain 4.0

2. Keep babydaddy drama down to a minimum

3. Sub at least three days a week to save for a car

4. Strengthen my relationship with God

My list is NOT in order of priorities

1) get pregnant.

2) If 1 doesn't happen, then cross train to a new area in the organization I work for, either ER, urgent care, or postpartum.

3) lose a bit of weight by eating out less and being more active. Yesterday it was -14 degrees out those so all I wanted to do was curl up with a fuzzy blanket and a pizza so not sure how that's going to go.
