Any travelers out there?? I am sure there are lots! I am thinking about traveling and want to know if anyone has thoughts on the following companies:

Nurses in Partnership

Access nurses

RTG Medical

PPR healthcare

Travel Nurse Solutions

Med Staff

American Mobile

Are any recommended over others? Any to stay away from? I have been in contact with all of the above listed and just need to choose. Any input would be very much appreciated! Thanks!!!

I work for RTG Medical they are super an bend over backwards for you if you do what they ask of you when getting an assignment. My recruiter is David at ext 202. Maggiecreek

My mother-in-law has been with HRN Services for over 8 years and have nothing but good things to say about them :yeah:

Help!

I'm looking for a travel co. that places Hospice/Homecare nurses. I've looked online and can't find anything! Please, if anyone knows of anything let me know...I'm counting on this site to help.

Thx, zaraotto

Did you make a decision as to which company to work for? I work with RTG Medical and have really had a great experience with them. I have a great relationship with my recruiter and he works hard to make sure I'm happy on the assignment. I did my homework before signing with a company and can tell you I made the right decision to go with RTG Medical. Best of luck to you.

WARNING: Every post this new member is making is trying to get us to go with RTG. Sounds like a sneaky recruiter to me.

Maybe he/she is just really happy with them, -- or maybe it IS just a sneaky recruiter!

ANYONE else?

I'm here because I'm thinking of traveling and I want to hear about which company may be good. I'm SO SCARED of all the horror stories I hear! Can anyone help me?

The post I was referring to was deleted and was from a person calling himself BillJ. A moderator informed me that he was a recrutier, that all his posts were deleted, that he is now banned from allnurses & that my post was supposed to be deleted because it was referring to something that no longer existed. This post of mine must have gotten by the moderator.

I start my first assignment in Nashville TN on 9/8/08. I have spoken to Access, AMN, Travel Nurses Across American, Nurse Choice and a couple more. For me it was all about the first assignment. I wanted to be within x amount of miles from home for the sake of my family. RNNetwork was the only one that came back with anything. They all had posting in TN but when it came time for me to interview there was always something that got in the way. RNNEtwork sent my file, when they hadn't heard from the hospital they suggested that I call them. Long story short. I had a telephone interview and 20 minutes later had a job offer. Insurance looks ok, pay seems ok for the area and I'm good with the area. Time will tell with it works out. Hopefully this company will work, if not I at least have contacts with different agencies. The best advice, which I received from travelers on this website, is research, research and research.

I do know that Cross Country placed a friend of mine in a homecare contract in CA and that other companies had travelers with the same homecare agency. Probably you would want to check with some of the large companies to find more of these contracts.

Thank you for the information..........can you give me some of the "large comapny" names?? Calif. is exactly wjere I'd want to go, as I have family there!!!!! I'll wait for your reply.

Cross Country Travcorps is one of the large ones. American Mobile and RNN are others. HRN has a good reputation that I know of. The only one I can speak of from personal experience is Cross Country as I've been traveling with them for 12 years.

I'm not recruiting or recommending for any specifically - just a few off the top of my head. The reason I suggest larger companies is because of the number of positions they have which gives you more options.

Have worked with CCTC and MedStaff. Are satisfied with both. The only reason we switch back and forth is assignment locations.

CCTC doesn't pay as well but overall has good benefits and never any problems. Medstaff either.

I would recommend both.
