Just wondering if taking A & P in the summer is harder than taking it during the reg semester? I have taken A & P in Massage school but I am wondering if it will be different. I want to take it this summer while its somewhat fresh in my mind.

Let me know what you think of taking it in the summer.

I took A&P I in the summer. I had been an LPN for about 15 years and I literally lived and breathed A&P all summer but it was good to get it done. ( I even ended up with the only A in class). A&P II was a semester course because after the one I took it wasn't offered anymore. Just be prepared to study... but the great thing is you can study in a lawn chair or at the beach! Best of luck to you. :)

I took A&P I in the summer and thought that it was difficult but manageable. I liked it because I didn't really have time to forget the material and it all flowed together easily. It was difficult because it was so much info to cram into such a short time. I got a B in the class and just finished the regular sememster A&P II class with a B also. I think that if it works out best for your schedule, go for it. Just be prepared to study hard. good luck!

I think (but I'm not sure) that the A&P from massage programs is one semester as opposed to two semesters for nursing? What is great is that you'll have some foundation knowledge from your other A&P class.

As for myself, I took A&P I during the summer and A&P II during a regular semester. I actually found the summer session easier because I could focus on one class instead of 4 or five classes at a slower pace. This will depend on your temperament and learning style, etc. Good luck with what you decide.

I took A&P I during the spring and then A&P II during the summer. I preferred the summer session because class was every day. Our tests were about every two weeks or so, so there wasn't a lot of time to forget information. It seems like it would be harder, but I actually found that I stressed more over the longer semester class... especially studying for the cumulative final at the end.

I also took A&P 2 in the summer and passed with a B. So it is doable, you just have to be ready to study. I liked it for all the same reasons that the OP have stated.

It's not hard.. it's a lot of reading and memorization... and I loved it. Would take it again in a heartbeat, but since I got an A, I don't have to. If you find yourself getting stuck, don't wait.. go to your professor right away. A little bit of preventive maintenance will save problems down the road later.

I took A & P 2 in the summer, fast track in 4 weeks, that is all I did for those 4 weeks. We learned a system one or two days, reviewed then tested on the 3rd day. After the test we started a new system, no time to forget anything as it is all fresh in your mind for the tests. I got an A in the class so it worked for me.
