i'm taking a sociology class and have a group paper to write. our topic is to analyze pay differences between male and female rns. i know income is a personal topic but if your willing to help me out i would appriciate your response. thank you!!

  2. 50-60k (my starting hourly pay was a flat rate based on experience; as far as i know, it's like that at every private hospital in my city; at our county hospital, pay is based on experience, so there may be gender-bias about which most/all are unaware)

  6. i choose to work 2 weekdays & 1 weekend each week (we're required to work 3 weekends per calendar month; i wanted a consistent schedule each week, though, so i opted for the same days each week, which included the 1 weekend per week)

Bachelors. At hire I was told that there was no difference in pay for ADN or Bachelors but I found out I am indeed making $0.75 more then the new grad ADNs who started with me.

New grad

36 hours, I am still following a preceptor, so I am not picking up any overtime yet.

6. Do you work during the week, over the weekend, both?

We have to do two weekends a month and I am working nights, differential included in my gross salary.

I would be happy to post the findings, it won't be done for about two months. Hopefully I get some guys to post too! We didn't discuss it as a group but I think we should have also asked for location too, I'm sure that will cause variations...
