i'm taking a sociology class and have a group paper to write. our topic is to analyze pay differences between male and female rns. i know income is a personal topic but if your willing to help me out i would appriciate your response. thank you!!
i need: rn's with associate or bachelors degrees, must work in a hospital.
here are the questions:
1. how long (years) have you been a nurse?
2. what is your annual gross income?
less than 30k, 30-40k, 40-50k, 50-60k, 60-70k, greater than 70k
3. do you have an associate or bachelors degree?
4. how long have you worked for your present employer (seniority)?
5. on average how many hours do you work weekly?
6. do you work during the week, over the weekend, both?

Bachelors. At hire I was told that there was no difference in pay for ADN or Bachelors but I found out I am indeed making $0.75 more then the new grad ADNs who started with me.
New grad
36 hours, I am still following a preceptor, so I am not picking up any overtime yet.
We have to do two weekends a month and I am working nights, differential included in my gross salary.

1. I have been a nurse for just over 1 year.
2. Gross Annual income: roughly $90,000.
3. Bachelors Degree
4. I have worked for my present employer for just over 1 year.
5. No more than 32 hours/week.
6. I work during the week and every other weekend.

I'd be interested to know the findings of your paper, can you post a synopsis of your findings when completed? Good luck!
I would be happy to post the findings, it won't be done for about two months. Hopefully I get some guys to post too! We didn't discuss it as a group but I think we should have also asked for location too, I'm sure that will cause variations...
